Da Nang: Number of overnight tourists increases sharply

DNVN - According to the Da Nang Statistics Office, the number of overnight tourists in the city in the past 10 months is estimated at nearly 7 million, an increase of more than 26%, of which international overnight visitors are estimated at 3.3 million, an increase of nearly 30%.

According to the Da Nang Statistics Office, in the first 10 months of 2024, the total number of visitors served by tourist accommodation establishments in the area was estimated at nearly 9.3 million, an increase of nearly 32% over the same period in 2023. Of which, international visitors were estimated at nearly 3.5 million, an increase of more than 30%; domestic visitors reached 5.8 million, an increase of 32% over the same period in 2023.

The number of guests staying at hotels in Da Nang in the first 10 months of 2024 increased sharply.

Notably, the number of overnight visitors in the past 10 months is estimated at nearly 7 million, an increase of more than 26%, of which international overnight visitors are estimated at 3.3 million, an increase of more than 29%. The number of day-stay visitors is estimated at 2.3 million, an increase of nearly 52%, of which international day-stay visitors are estimated at nearly 200,000, an increase of nearly 70% over the same period in 2023.

Along with that, the average number of overnight guests in the 10 months is 1.48 days/time; of which international guests are 1.54 days/time, domestic guests are 1.43 days/time (same period in 2023: total 1.32 days/time; of which 1.55 days/time for international guests and 1.12 days/time for domestic guests).

According to the Da Nang Statistics Office, the total revenue from accommodation, food and beverage, and travel in the area in the past 10 months is estimated at VND 28,800 billion. Of which, revenue from accommodation and food services is estimated at nearly VND 22,600 billion, up nearly 22%; revenue from tourism services is estimated at more than VND 6,200 billion, up 36.5% over the same period in 2023.

According to the Da Nang Department of Tourism, tourism activities in the area are developing strongly. The city continues to organize attractive cultural, artistic and sports events and programs to attract visitors and further promote tourism development results. In addition, Da Nang always pays attention and focuses on communication work to enhance promotion and connection, meeting the changing tastes of the tourism market.

In particular, the focus is on introducing to visitors products and programs to attract tourists. At the same time, this is also an opportunity to meet with domestic and international travel partners and event organizers to exchange and learn about market trends in order to build a plan to promote and attract tourists to Da Nang in the near future.

Da Nang Department of Tourism expects that in 2025, accommodation establishments in the area will strive to serve an estimated 10.5 million visitors, an increase of 6% compared to 2024 and 136% of 2019. Of which, international visitors are expected to reach more than 4 million, an increase of more than 10% compared to 2024 (exceeding 40% compared to 2019); domestic visitors are estimated to reach more than 6 million, an increase of more than 2% compared to 2024 (exceeding 30% compared to 2019. Revenue from accommodation, food and beverage, and travel in 2025 is estimated to reach more than 40 trillion VND, an increase of more than 10% compared to 2024 (exceeding nearly 100% compared to 2019).
