During the fifth performance of "Brothers Overcoming a Thousand Obstacles," the Children's House and the Elite House strategically planned and allocated members across the three acts. Through this, the audience could easily see that the strategies chosen by the two houses in the fifth performance differed significantly.

Previously, Tuan Hung, Bang Kieu, and Phan Dinh Tung also shared the same idea with the Children's House. "I think we should all participate in all three performances. If we don't sing, we can do something else," Tuan Hung suggested. "We'll choose the main singers, and the others will be supporting," Bang Kieu and Phan Dinh Tung also agreed with Tuan Hung's idea. "For each performance, we'll list all 12 people, and Kien Ung will decide which performance he participates in."

However, Cuong Seven, the leader of the Elite group, did not support this idea. He frankly stated: "I think it's not a good idea. There's too little time to practice; everyone is already tired from memorizing the lines, movements, and lyrics, and then they have to participate in three more songs? That would be disastrous. I don't want one person to participate in three songs; I think one person should only participate in a maximum of two songs ."

After frankly presenting his views to the whole group, Cuong Seven also said that he was afraid of offending everyone because his decision went against the majority of the older members.

"I'm a little upset with the older members because they wanted to participate in all three songs. They could participate in any song, they could be the lamp stand, they could be any prop, but I didn't want that. For an artist to participate in just one song, they have a highlight, their appearance is what makes it meaningful ," Cường Seven expressed.

The advantage of the "whoever does a particular thing gets to perform that part" strategy is that it gives the members of the Elite House more opportunities to shine. When too many members participate in a song, the spotlight has to be divided equally among them.

As they entered the final stretch, the contestants' spirits seemed more tense than in previous performances. Being a highly disciplined person, Kay Tran suggested: "I'll demonstrate discipline within my own family so I can perform well. Even if I only appear on stage for a second, I still have to practice."

However, Phan Dinh Tung disagreed with this suggestion from the singer of "Y Em Sao ," frankly rejecting it: "That's just the idea, but what's the point of practicing if you're only appearing for a second? On the day of the show, just tell me to show up, it's not that difficult."

These disagreements stem from the fact that the members of the Elite House all have very strong personalities. "After selecting the members for the House, I was surprised because my House is full of leaders. I know they have very strong personalities, so figuring out how to harmonize everyone, so that everyone has a chance to shine, is a very difficult problem," Soobin confided about the difficulties of his House.

On the other side of the battlefield, with a spirit of giving their all, the Children's House seemed to have little trouble allocating members to the three performances. "We're here to overcome obstacles, so we'll play in a way that seeks out obstacles to overcome," Tiến Luật affirmed.

Also in this fifth performance, after challenging himself in many new aspects, in the final stretch, Binz wanted to return to his strengths. He expressed: “Maybe I’ve tried many things, and I’m quite proud of them. I think for this project, everyone should return to their best. Although I’ve rapped a lot before, for this project I’d like to rap because that’s where I know exactly what I’m doing. And I can bring out the best in it.”

Meanwhile, the Children's team performed "Flying" (lyrics by Nguyen Hai Phong & music by Thu Minh) with the participation of Binz, Dinh Tien Dat, Tien Luat, Rhymastic, Bui Cong Nam, Thien Minh, Thanh Duy, Tang Phuc, Quoc Thien, Lien Binh Phat, Hoang Hiep, and Duy Khanh.

In the vocal round, the Children's House secured a convincing victory. Meanwhile, in the performance round, the Elite House staged a comeback. Thus, after two rounds, both the Children's House and the Elite House face the prospect of having to say goodbye to a member. This increases the pressure on the contestants in the New Song round of episode 13 of "Brothers Overcoming a Thousand Obstacles."
