Domestic coffee price list updated on the morning of April 17, 2025

The coffee market has had a series of increases for 6 consecutive sessions since the US President announced a 90-day suspension of reciprocal tariffs.

The coffee market had previously fallen sharply due to the US imposing high tariffs on imported goods from many countries, including major coffee exporters such as Brazil, Vietnam and Colombia. This move raised concerns that the tax costs would be passed on to US consumers, in the context of high world coffee prices due to reduced supply.

As for the reason for the price increase, experts said that in the context of tariff concerns temporarily easing, investors focused again on the tight supply situation. At the same time, the market was supported by the decline of the US dollar index to a three-year low. In addition, Robusta coffee inventories monitored by ICE fell to a six-week low on Monday, down to only 4,249 lots.

In the context of climate change and increasingly stringent requirements from the international market, the trend of growing organic coffee is becoming a strategic choice for many farmers and businesses in Vietnam. Choosing the right coffee variety suitable for organic farming is a key factor to ensure both product quality and sustainable development in the direction of green agriculture.

According to a report by the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, in the first quarter of 2025, total coffee export turnover reached 2.88 billion USD, up nearly 50% over the same period last year. The average export price reached 5,656 USD/ton, up more than 71%.

The main consumer markets for Vietnamese coffee are still European countries such as Germany, Spain, Italy, along with Japan, South Korea, China and some Asian countries. Meanwhile, the US only accounts for about 6% of total exports.
