Born into a poor family in Liaoning province (China), with a father who was a worker, Ha The Long (born in 2000) soon developed his talent in the field of calligraphy. The boy once made the whole country admire when he achieved great achievements, earning a lot of money at a young age.
Earn billions at the age of 11
At the age of 3, while his peers were not yet familiar with coloring, Ha The Long could hold a pen and write fluently.
Not long after, the family discovered that the boy had a talent for soft, delicate handwriting. Although he had not attended formal school for the art of writing or drawing, Long had a special interest in calligraphy.

Although he was young, he did not like to go out and play with friends. Long just wanted to stay at home and write and draw traditional Chinese paintings.
Before entering first grade, Long's family moved to Beijing to enjoy the best educational environment.
As soon as he arrived, his father took Long to have his calligraphy skills tested. On his first test, Long passed the Level 5 certification of the China Art Testing Center. The 7-year-old boy's skills were on par with professional calligraphers. Long's outstanding performance attracted the attention of the Beijing Calligraphy Association.
In 2008, Long participated in a calligraphy performance at the Beijing National People's Congress Conference Center in front of many celebrities. The 8-year-old boy's two-handed calligraphy performance left many people in awe. From then on, he was recognized as a prodigy in this field.
Three years later, at a charity concert gathering famous businessmen, the Liaoning boy's work was auctioned alongside famous predecessors, including calligraphy master Kai Gong.
What surprised many people was that Mr. Cong's work only sold for the highest price of 80,000 yuan (about 280 million VND), while The Long's calligraphy was sold for 110,000 yuan (about 385 million VND). From then on, the life of the child prodigy turned to a new chapter.
Highly regarded, Thế Long participated in performing activities with a tight schedule. At the age of 11, he could earn hundreds of millions, even billions from his own fame. However, it was his parents' greed that caused the child prodigy's life to deviate.
The tragedy of being hated by everyone
Chasing the limelight of fame, The Long's parents turned him into a "golden goose". Instead of investing in his education and developing his talents, they forced him to perform at shows all the time. Long's life revolved around attending events.
This left him with no time to study, and his talent for calligraphy also faded away. He also lost his passion for this subject.
Worse, Long got used to the praise and admiration of those around him and became arrogant, as a result this fame did not last long.

When other phenomena appeared, Ha The Long was just a name. Losing his reputation, he was also criticized for chasing after money.
Praise was replaced by complaints and criticism. The "jianghu calligraphy" style that Long pursued did not receive positive reviews, many people even thought that this talent lost the essence of traditional China.
After many years of decline, in 2019, Thế Long appeared on livestream, calling on viewers to donate gifts in exchange for calligraphy. This received mixed opinions. Many people were outraged by the former child prodigy doing everything for money. After that, Long locked all social media accounts.
This marked the failure of a prodigy who was once famous throughout China. Besides criticism, many people felt sorry for the young talent, seeing Long as more pitiful than blameworthy because most of the fault lay with his parents for forcing him to "mature" and become a money-making tool.
