During the visit, the delegation had meetings and worked with Swedish Foreign Minister Tobias Billström; Swedish Minister for Public Administration Erik Slottner; Standing Member of the Executive Board of the Social Democratic Party, Deputy Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Swedish Parliament Morgan Johansson; First Vice President of the Stockholm City Council Cecilia Brinck; Chairman of the financial and investment group Marcus Wallenberg; former Prime Minister and former Foreign Minister of Sweden Carl Bildt, Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI); visited the Vietnamese Embassy and met with representatives of the Vietnamese community in Sweden.
At the meetings, Comrade Truong Thi Mai informed about the situation and achievements of Vietnam's socio-economic development and international integration after nearly 40 years of Doi Moi, about the goals and strategies for national development according to the guidelines of the 13th National Party Congress; exchanged and learned about Sweden's experience in organizing the apparatus and public administration activities, the legal framework of decentralization and delegation of power between the central and local governments of Sweden as well as experience in green transformation and environmental protection.

Assessing the bilateral relationship, Comrade Truong Thi Mai thanked Sweden for its support for Vietnam during the period when Vietnam fought for independence and national reunification, as well as in the current socio-economic development, emphasizing and expressing her joy that the relationship between the two countries has continued to develop positively in recent times.
To continue promoting the Vietnam-Sweden bilateral relationship in the coming time, especially in the context of the two countries preparing to celebrate the 55th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations in 2024, comrade Truong Thi Mai suggested that the two sides continue to promote high-level exchanges and cooperation on Party, State and people-to-people diplomacy channels.
The Head of the Central Organizing Committee suggested that the two sides promote economic, trade and investment cooperation; strengthen cooperation in areas where Sweden has strengths such as green technology, innovation, clean energy conversion, and green energy to further promote cooperation potential, bringing bilateral relations to increasingly develop substantially and effectively.
At the same time, he suggested that Sweden pay attention to and create conditions for the Vietnamese community living and studying in Sweden to stabilize their lives, contributing to bridging the relationship between the two countries.

Leaders of the Government, Parliament and political parties of Sweden welcomed and highly appreciated the working visit of the Delegation, affirming that the visit contributed significantly to consolidating and deepening the relationship between the two countries.
Swedish leaders emphasized their impression of Vietnam's achievements in socio-economic development as well as in expanding and deepening foreign relations, expressed their joy at the positive development of cooperation between the two countries, affirmed that Vietnam is an important partner in the Asia-Pacific region, and agreed to strengthen cooperation between Vietnam and Sweden on the party, state and people-to-people channels.
Leaders of Swedish agencies and localities shared experiences in organizing public administration, anti-corruption measures as well as efforts to promote the green transition in Sweden.
The Swedish side also highly appreciated Vietnam's efforts in improving the investment and business environment, creating favorable conditions for foreign-invested enterprises, affirming that more and more Swedish enterprises consider Vietnam as one of the important markets in the region.
On this occasion, the two sides also discussed international and regional issues of mutual concern, affirming the principle of respecting international law and the United Nations Charter in resolving international disagreements and disputes to ensure peace and security in the world, including the East Sea region.

Visiting the Vietnamese Embassy and meeting with representatives of the Vietnamese community in Sweden, comrade Truong Thi Mai informed about the main features of the country's situation, the policies and guidelines of the Party and State on socio-economic development, and the implementation of the tasks set forth by the 13th National Congress.
Comrade Truong Thi Mai praised the positive results of the representative agencies and asked the officers and staff of the Vietnamese representative agencies in Sweden to continue to strive to excellently fulfill their assigned tasks, contributing to further strengthening the friendship and bilateral cooperation between Vietnam and Sweden.

Regarding the Vietnamese community in Sweden, comrade Truong Thi Mai highly appreciated the efforts of the community in preserving and promoting the national language and cultural identity, integrating well into the local society, and actively participating in contributing to the construction of the homeland and country.
Acknowledging the sentiments and aspirations of the people, comrade Truong Thi Mai affirmed that the Party and State of Vietnam always care about the Vietnamese community abroad, and requested that they continue to integrate well with the host country, always turn towards the Fatherland, and promote their important role as a bridge to further strengthen the traditional friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Sweden.
