The Political Department, General Department of Politics received the First Class Fatherland Protection Medal.

On the morning of October 28, the Political Department, General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army held a ceremony to receive the First Class Fatherland Protection Medal and celebrate the 75th anniversary of Traditional Day (October 31, 1949 - October 31, 2024).

Over 75 years of building, fighting and growing, generations of cadres, soldiers and staff of the Political Department and the General Department of Politics have always thoroughly grasped the Party's viewpoints, guidelines, resolutions and directives, promoting the good nature and glorious traditions of the heroic Vietnam People's Army and the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army.

The Political Department is always united, proactive, creative, and responsive, overcoming difficulties well, excellently fulfilling its functions and tasks of advising and proposing to the Party Committee of the agency and the head of the General Political Department policies and measures to lead, direct, and directly carry out Party and political activities in the General Political Department with practical effectiveness.

Contribute to building the Party Committee and the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army to always be strong in politics, ideology, ethics, organization and staff, successfully fulfilling the functions and tasks of the strategic advisory agency on Party work and the General Department of Politics for the entire army.

Speaking at the reception ceremony, Lieutenant General Truong Thien To, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, commended and congratulated the results and achievements of the Political Department and the General Department of Politics over the past 75 years.

Lieutenant General Truong Thien To requested the Political Department to regularly and thoroughly grasp the resolutions, regulations, conclusions of the Party, policies and laws of the State, directives, orders and instructions of superiors, clearly define honor and responsibility, turn awareness into voluntary and regular actions of each cadre, employee and soldier, contributing to building the General Political Department increasingly strong, worthy of being an example and model for the entire army in all aspects.

Lieutenant General Truong Thien To also emphasized that from now until the end of 2025, the Political Department needs to be active, proactive, and focus on organizing well the activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day.

In particular, the successful organization of the 80th anniversary celebration of the General Department of Politics and receiving the First Class Independence Medal.

In addition, the Political Department needs to advise and organize well the Party Congresses at all levels and the 20th Congress of the Party Committee of the General Political Department.

Over 75 years of performing its duties, the Political Department and the General Department of Politics have achieved many feats and outstanding achievements and have been awarded by the Party and State with 3 First Class Military Exploit Medals, 2 First Class Fatherland Protection Medals, 1 Second Class Fatherland Protection Medal, along with many emulation flags, certificates of merit, and commendations from the Ministry of National Defense and the General Department of Politics.
