On the afternoon of January 23, under the chairmanship of comrade Le Duc Giang, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, the Council for appraisal of communes meeting new rural standards (NTM), advanced NTM, and model NTM in Thanh Hoa province held a conference to appraise communes meeting new rural standards, advanced NTM, and model NTM in 2024.

The leaders of the provincial office coordinating the new rural construction program reported the results of the dossier appraisal, the level of meeting the criteria for new rural communes, advanced new rural communes, and model new rural communes.
According to the report on the appraisal results, records, and level of meeting the criteria for new rural communes, advanced new rural communes, and model new rural communes, this time, there are 11 communes in 6 districts: Thach Thanh, Lang Chanh, Hoang Hoa, Ngoc Lac, Nga Son, Nong Cong and Nghi Son town. Up to now, the communes considering the proposals for new rural communes, advanced new rural communes, and model new rural communes have met the conditions to submit to the Council for voting and consideration for recognition of meeting new rural commune and advanced new rural commune standards.
At the conference, members of the Appraisal Council reviewed the documents, assessed the advantages, disadvantages, and contents that the communes need to complete for each criterion.

At the same time, 100% of the council members voted unanimously to propose recognizing 11 communes as meeting the criteria of a new-style rural commune, an advanced new-style rural commune, and a model new-style rural commune. Specifically, 5 communes proposed to be considered meeting the new-style rural standards: Thanh My, Thanh Tan, Thanh Vinh, Thach Cam (Thach Thanh), Tan Phuc (Lang Chanh); 5 communes proposed to be considered meeting the advanced new-style rural standards: Hoang Hop (Hoang Hoa), Lam Son (Ngoc Lac), Nga Yen, Nga Lien (Nga Son), Hai Nhan (Nghi Son town); 1 model new-style rural commune: Te Loi (Nong Cong).

Concluding the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Duc Giang highly appreciated the coordination of departments and branches in implementing the plan to build new rural areas in the past time; the efforts of the Office of Coordination of the New Rural Area Construction Program in evaluating and selecting new rural communes, preparing documents to propose recognition of new rural areas, advanced new rural areas, and model new rural areas.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed that the movement to build new rural areas in localities in the province has always been well maintained and Thanh Hoa is one of the leading provinces in the country in terms of the number of districts and communes meeting new rural standards at all levels.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the New Rural Area Office to coordinate with agencies, units, localities, and media agencies to promote propaganda on building new rural areas and developing OCOP products. At the same time, the Office of the New Rural Area Program Coordination was assigned to coordinate with localities to promptly complete the dossier to submit to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for recognition of communes that meet the criteria of new rural areas, advanced new rural areas, and model new rural areas this time.
