There is a new urban area of ​​nearly 10,400 hectares in Khanh Hoa province.

This project is implemented in the communes and towns of Cam Lam district such as: Cam Duc, Cam Hai Dong, Cam Hai Tay, Cam Hoa, Cam An Bac, Cam An Nam, Cam Hiep Bac, Cam Hiep Nam, Cam Tan, Suoi Tan, Cam Thanh Bac and the North of Cam Ranh city including the communes and wards: Cam Thanh Nam, Cam Phuc Bac, Cam Nghia.

The Cam Lam new urban area project is nearly 10,400 hectares wide; of which nearly 81 hectares will be converted to forest use. The total investment of the project is more than 285 trillion VND, of which the cost of compensation and resettlement support is about 25 trillion VND. It is expected that the Cam Lam new urban area will have items such as more than 58,500 villas and townhouses; 9,800 apartments; 58,500 plots of land for villas and townhouses; 33,000 social housing units; a 36-hole golf course... The project is expected to start in 2025 and be completed in 2037.

Cam Lam new urban area is located next to Thuy Trieu lagoon.

The Deputy Prime Minister assigned the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province to take full responsibility before the law, before the Prime Minister, before the inspection, examination and auditing agencies for the contents, information and data reported in the dossier requesting approval of the project investment policy. The People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province is responsible for organizing the selection of investors to implement the project in accordance with the provisions of law, ensuring that investors have sufficient capacity (especially in terms of finance), experience and conditions to be allocated land by the State, leased land, and converted to land use purposes to implement the project according to the registered schedule.

The Deputy Prime Minister also assigned the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province to be responsible for monitoring, inspecting and supervising the dredging, clearing the flow, and renovating Thuy Trieu lagoon within the scope of the project; inspecting and supervising the exploitation of water resources and sources of emissions and discharges according to the provisions of law; not allowing impacts affecting people and the environment, causing complaints and lawsuits, especially in the work of compensation, support, resettlement, site clearance, and environmental protection.

Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee is responsible for land acquisition, compensation, resettlement, site clearance, ensuring the harmony of interests of the State, enterprises, and people, preventing mass complaints and denunciations, and ensuring that people whose land is acquired have a better life and living environment.
