According to statistics from Vietnam Communications Corporation (VCcorp), the starting salary of an accountant is about 6 million VND, then increases with time and work experience. For the position of general accountant, the salary ranges from 10 - 30 million VND/month.

For positions working with partners or foreign companies, the starting salary is usually 1,000 USD/month for Chief Accountant. If you have an international certificate such as ACCA, the income can be up to 2,000 USD/month for the position of Senior Accountant.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance is currently training in Accounting with two majors: Public Accounting and Business Accounting. In 2024, the school will recruit for this major in 3 ways: considering high school graduation exam scores, considering high school transcripts, considering Ho Chi Minh City National University's Competency Assessment exam scores.

The school plans to recruit students for the Accounting major based on 4 subject groups A00; A01; D01; C01. In 2023, the standard score for this major is 18 points. In 2022, the school will set a higher standard score for recruitment - 19 points.
