In 2025, Thanh Hoa tourism aims to welcome 16 million visitors and earn a total revenue of 45.5 trillion VND. This goal is partly based on new potentials and opportunities waiting to be exploited.

One of the advantages of Thanh Hoa tourism is the operation and continued completion of a series of high-class tourist destinations and services of large corporations such as Sun Group, Flamingo, Sao Mai... After only a short time of operation, a number of new tourist destinations and services have proven their attraction to tourists such as: Flamingo Ibiza Hai Tien (Hoang Hoa); Sea square and festival landscape axis, Sun World water park, Memorial area for compatriots, cadres, soldiers and students from the South regrouping to the North (Sam Son city); Phan Chu Trinh walking street and Lam Son Square cultural space (Thanh Hoa city); Lamori Resort & Spa (Tho Xuan)... These are important highlights in the province's tourism picture, contributing to putting Thanh Hoa in the top of localities, an attractive destination, attracting a large number of tourists nationwide. Sam Son City alone will welcome 8.86 million visitors in 2024, with total revenue from tourists estimated at 17.1 trillion VND.

Vice Chairman of Sam Son City People's Committee Bui Quoc Dat said: Sam Son City tourism in particular, Thanh Hoa in general, is facing many opportunities to develop strongly. Many projects and entertainment complexes are continuing to be completed and put into operation in 2025. This is an important basis for the city to renew its destinations, attracting the attention of tourists. Along with that, the city will continue to call for investors to develop tourism in the South of Sam Son, focusing on resort tourism, culinary, entertainment and recreation areas. Strive to have at least one new tourism product put into operation each year, while completing night economic services (night markets, walking streets...) to attract more visitors with high spending ability and long stay. With diverse products and experiences, in 2025 Sam Son City strives to welcome 9.68 million visitors, with tourism revenue estimated at 21 trillion VND.

Along with the participation of major projects, this year the province will organize 150 cultural, sports and tourism events (referred to as events). The success of these events in previous years has shown a spillover effect, especially some important events attracting thousands of visitors. With the goal of making Thanh Hoa a four-season destination, spring events will be associated with traditional festivals, bearing national cultural identity; summer events will be associated with sea tourism events; autumn - winter events will be associated with national and international sports competitions, along with many traditional festivals in eco-tourism areas - communities.

Tourism experts say that with abundant tourism resources, convenient transport infrastructure, and a number of large-scale tourism complexes that have been completed and put into operation in 2025, Thanh Hoa tourism is facing many opportunities to become one of the key tourism destinations in the country. However, in developing tourism in the new situation, Thanh Hoa province needs to pay attention to investing in developing unique, high-quality and highly competitive tourism products. In particular, it is necessary to focus on exploiting cultural values ​​in tourism development to position the destination brand in a sustainable manner.

According to Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Pham Nguyen Hong, 2025 is an important year, accelerating the completion of the goals and tasks set out in the Tourism Development Program for the period 2021-2025. Therefore, along with the traditional tourist market, the province will focus on attracting new tourist markets, using high-quality services. To achieve the set goals, the development of diverse new products, rich in experience, imbued with identity will be of interest. At the same time, effectively exploiting the product lines of event tourism, golf sports in Sam Son City, along with the resort complex, entertainment, festivals at Flamingo Ibiza Hai Tien, Anh Phat Nghi Son area...

On the other hand, create favorable conditions for resort and entertainment complexes in Sam Son City and Hoang Hoa and Tho Xuan districts to continue to complete and put into operation new products and services in 2025. Along with that, speed up the progress of tourism investment projects to soon form and put into operation new high-end product lines such as: Quang Yen hot mineral resort (Quang Xuong), Ben En high-end eco-resort and entertainment complex (Nhu Thanh), TNG Ha Long golf course project and Ha Long resort and entertainment complex project (Ha Trung)...

New opportunities for Thanh Hoa tourism to develop in 2025 will not only come from organizing events or promoting, but also from innovation in combining the development of the "smokeless industry" with the preservation and promotion of cultural values. With clear goals, and the active participation of the business community, Thanh Hoa tourism in 2025 promises not only quantity but also quality of experience, with the message "Thanh Hoa Tourism - Four Seasons of Fragrance" expected to spread widely.
