Neither negative nor eventful
The main character in the video is Nguyen Thu Trang (25 years old), living in Ngo Quyen District, Hai Phong City. Sharing about this action, Trang confided: "In 2016, I started participating in volunteer activities and came into contact with many difficult situations, including cancer patients. During the treatment process, in addition to physical pain, patients lose their hair so they have to wear hats, scarves... everywhere they go, with their own complexes. From then on, I wanted to donate my hair to help encourage patients, helping them become more confident."
Thu Trang's story of shaving her head touched many people.

For Trang, giving up her beloved long hair was an extremely big change. It was something she had never done before. "More than a year ago, I thought about shaving my head to donate my hair. This would make it easier for me to talk and share with patients. However, at that time, I still did not have enough courage and a strong mentality to do it," Trang said.
Not long ago, during a charity trip to Thai Binh province, witnessing the image of a patient without hair, with amputated arms and legs... made Trang extremely heartbroken. This girl is determined to fulfill her unfinished wish.
On September 30, 2023, Trang went to a salon that offered free haircuts for hair donors. Both the salon owner and the staff were surprised and worried because they thought she was having some kind of problem and wanted to shave her head. However, when Trang clearly stated her wish to donate her hair to cancer patients, everyone agreed to support her. In the video, Trang picked up the clippers and shaved each hair line with a happy mood: "I am extremely happy to be able to fulfill my long-cherished wish, I will never regret doing this."
Always beautiful and confident
"Before me, there were many braver people who silently contributed without needing any praise. I just hope that through this, people will love and sympathize more with cancer patients. I was also a girl who was friends with the hospital all year round. There were times when I was depressed and negative, but I was never left behind. Every time there was an incident, I was somehow helped both materially and spiritually. Until now, I wish to live each day to the fullest, accepting all opportunities," Trang shared.
After graduating with a degree in business administration from Hai Phong University of Management and Technology (formerly known as Hai Phong Private University), Trang changed direction and became involved in making cakes. Currently, in addition to managing the store, this girl is also one of the "leaders" of the Hai Phong Lighthouse volunteer group.

The person who motivated Trang to participate in community activities is her mother, Ms. Do Thi Huong (45 years old), living in Hai Phong City. "I don't have the opportunity to participate in many volunteer activities like my daughter, I can only help people in need when I accidentally meet them on the street. Although I don't have much money, I can still share my heart with others. I hope my daughter will be able to do what she wants and the things that I haven't been able to do," Ms. Huong said.
When asked about Trang's new change, Ms. Huong said: "With or without long hair, I am always proud and find my daughter beautiful. I completely support and respect Trang's decision. Her hair will grow back, so if I can help cancer patients, I will do it."
Watching the video of the moment Trang shaved her head, Le Thi Kieu Na (22 years old), living on Cu Chinh Lan Street, Hoa Khe Ward, Thanh Khe District, Da Nang City, expressed: "I really admire her brave actions. I believe that with that action, she will receive the best things in return. That loving girl has given me great motivation to grow my hair long to donate to cancer patients."
