True story like a joke: YouTuber bypasses security, disguises himself and dances at EURO opening ceremony

According to the German newspaper BILD , the YouTuber is Marvin Wildhage - a social media influencer in this country with hundreds of thousands of followers. On the morning of June 18, he released a video showing himself sneaking into the Allianz Stadium (Munich) before the opening ceremony in a fake costume and dancing in a corner of the field for nearly an hour.

Marvin Wildhage also added that he ordered the outfit online from China for 3,200 euros (more than 87 million VND) and made fake documents to enter the stadium. Previously, YouTuber Marvin Wildhage also took advantage of copying designs from photos posted by EURO 2024 staff on social media to bypass security forces.

Marvin Wildhage danced at the opening ceremony but was not detected by security.

In the video posted by Marvin Wildhage, it is also shown that the login information did not pass the scanning process at the entrance to the Allianz Arena. However, Marvin Wildhage and his associates were surprised by a security guard waving at them. Marvin Wildhage explained that this person was convinced by a fake card he showed.

It was not until the opening ceremony was almost over that Marvin Wildhage was discovered by UEFA security personnel. The organizers then detained him in a room behind the Allianz Stadium for more than five hours. Marvin Wildhage was not released until the match between Germany and Scotland ended.

UEFA confirmed the incident: “We can confirm that there was an incident with a fake mascot costume at the match in Munich between Germany and Scotland. Three people illegally entered the opening ceremony, fortunately without any incident.

UEFA has assessed the situation and initiated the necessary organisational measures. Three individuals have been banned from entering stadiums hosting EURO 2024 matches. Please understand that we are unable to provide any further information due to the ongoing proceedings of the investigating authorities.”

UEFA also confirmed that the incident was correct.

In fact, this is not the first time Marvin Wildhage has warned about security holes surrounding the EURO 2024 tournament. In a previous video, the YouTuber also walked onto the field dressed as a German player but no one stopped him.

The Euro 2024 draw in December 2023 was also interrupted by moaning during the ceremony at a concert hall in Hamburg. A British YouTuber said at the time that he had placed a mobile phone in the room and called it to activate the ringtone.

Spanish newspaper Marca is concerned about the security of EURO 2024. Marca wrote: “The loopholes of EURO 2024 are gradually being revealed. It is clear that with the sudden increase in the number of fans, the host Germany has lost control. Many incidents have occurred, fortunately not seriously. Security work has been continuously strengthened but has not been really effective.”
