'Border March' Program 2025

On the evening of March 1, at My Quy Tay Border Guard Station, Duc Hue District, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union coordinated with the Border Guard Command, the Military Youth Committee, the Provincial Youth Union and the Long An Provincial Youth Union to organize the Central-level "March Border Month" program in 2025.

Attending the program were Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union - Nguyen Tuong Lam; Colonel Vu Quoc An - Deputy Political Commissar of the Border Guard; Member of the Central Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Permanent Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union - Nguyen Kim Quy; Member of the Provincial Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission - Hoang Dinh Can; Secretary of the Provincial Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union - Tran Hai Phu; leaders of departments, branches, localities, and a large number of union members, youth and local people.

The Central-level "Border March" Program in 2025 is one of the key programs within the framework of the Central-level Youth Month Launching Ceremony in 2025 organized by the Central Youth Union in Long An province.

Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union, President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union - Nguyen Tuong Lam and Colonel Vu Quoc An - Deputy Political Commissar of the Border Guard presented gifts to policy families.

This is one of the activities to concretize the movement "I love my Fatherland" deployed by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union from March 1 to 31 every year in border communes across the country, focusing on difficult border communes.

Speaking at the program, Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union, President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union - Nguyen Tuong Lam said that with the theme "I love my Fatherland", the program "March on the Border" was focused on implementing 3 key groups of content by the Union's chapters, members and youth: Propagating and educating love for the homeland, responsibility for protecting the sovereignty of borders and islands; activities of gratitude, exchange, discussion, twinning, visiting between the Union's chapters, Associations, members, youth with veterans, officers and soldiers of the border guards; social security activities and undertaking youth projects and tasks. This year, the program also has a new feature with the model of "Digital literacy", supporting the improvement of digital skills for children and people in border areas.

Member of the Central Committee of the Youth Union, Permanent Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union - Nguyen Kim Quy and Member of the Provincial Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department - Hoang Dinh Can presented gifts to policy families.

At the program, the Organizing Committee presented 20 gifts to families of policy beneficiaries and people with revolutionary contributions; 20 scholarships and 10 bicycles to students in difficult circumstances.

In addition, to support economic development for border youth, the program presented 1,000 breeding chickens, 500kg of animal feed and livestock farming tools to 10 border youth households, with a total value of 50 million VND.

Delegates presented 10 bicycles and gifts to students in difficult circumstances.

Besides meaningful activities, the program also has cultural exchange performances between border guards and union members and youth, creating a vibrant and cohesive atmosphere.

Donate resources to support and help young households in border areas to produce and raise livestock, develop family economy, and escape poverty.

Along with Long An, the “March Border Month” program is also taking place in all border provinces across the country. In particular, the Central Youth Union and the Central Vietnam Youth Union selected Long An, Kon Tum and Ha Giang provinces as the 3 localities to organize at the central level.

The program is organized by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union every March to raise awareness and foster ideals about territorial sovereignty and national borders for members and young people, promote the spirit of volunteerism of young people in participating in socio-economic development, and taking care of cadres, soldiers, people and children in border areas.

Meaningful cultural exchange performances

In particular, the program also celebrates the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2025), the 66th anniversary of the Border Guard's Traditional Day (March 3, 1959 - March 3, 2025) and the 36th anniversary of the National Border Guard Festival (March 3, 1989 - March 3, 2025)./.
