"Resurrection" was held on the evening of October 15 at Kim Tan Square, Lao Cai province with the hope of raising charity funds to support the people here who suffered damage after typhoon Yagi.

Sharing the reason for choosing to organize a music night in Lao Cai, a place that suffered much pain and loss due to storm Yagi, musician Ho Hoai Anh said that in the first days when the media reported on the flood and landslide situation, he and musician Pham Viet Tuan went to Lao Cai.

"When we arrived in Lao Cai, we witnessed the tragic scene at Bao Yen Hospital, where every patient had lost their home and loved ones. At that time, we only had one thought: how to help as many people as possible. We used our own money, sent messages to mobilize kind-hearted friends and relatives to send money and met each person who had lost their home and loved ones and handed them over to them in person" - musician Ho Hoai Anh shared.

Then he and his friends went to Bac Ha, Si Ma Cai, Bat Xat and encountered extremely heartbreaking situations. "The images on the media made people cry, but meeting them in real life was even more heartbreaking. At that time, we thought, why not organize a music night for artists to contribute, to have more support for our compatriots. I, the artists, sound and light brothers, and accompanying business brothers and sisters were all excited to do such a music night. Without consensus, "Resurrection" would have difficulty reaching the audience" - said the program's general director.

In the second trip to Lao Cai, musicians Pham Viet Tuan and Ho Hoai Anh and their colleagues received support from the leaders of the Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee. "We worked with the provincial leaders and they were very supportive, everyone wanted the music night to take place. "Resurrection" was held on the evening of October 15 at Kim Tan Square, Lao Cai Province, the locality that suffered the pain, not in any other big city" - musician Pham Viet Tuan said. Explaining further about the theme "Resurrection", the Organizing Committee said that overcoming the consequences of the storm is also the wish of the people of the whole country. The Organizing Committee chose this theme because all losses, natural disasters, storms and floods will pass. The living still have to persevere, still have to live and they really need sharing, joining hands to rebuild their houses and create a new life. "We went and met many people who lost their homes and properties. Everything they had saved after years of hard work, houses, fields, chickens, pigs, etc., was gone. Despite support, they were still very poor. The program's staff wanted to share more with the households who still needed help to build houses through the Lao Cai Provincial Fatherland Front. Our goal is to build as many houses as possible, depending on the donations of benefactors" - the representative of the Organizing Committee shared.

With a large cast of singers, the program's general director revealed that this will be a music night full of emotions for the audience. "Resurrection" brings songs about the homeland, about the difficulties that have been overcome as well as looking forward to a better future. Resurrection also cannot lack youthful songs to soothe the pain, helping people have more positive energy.

In addition to the singers’ performances, the program also included a fundraising auction. All three works auctioned were from Lao Cai residents. They were a gemstone painting donated to the program by a local business, a painting of the future Lang Nu village by a local artist, and finally a painting of a beautiful Northwest mountain landscape by a student.

All proceeds from the program will be given directly to households in Lao Cai province affected by storm Yagi and donated to the Vietnam Fatherland Front's account for the repair and reconstruction of facilities.

"Resurrection" will be broadcast live on Lao Cai Radio and Television, and live on Sapa TV at 8:00 p.m. on October 15./.
