Recorded in Na Su village, Cha Nua commune, Nam Po district - where the community tourism model is being invested, exploited in the right direction, and promoted effectively. In recent years, many people inside and outside the province, even foreign tourists, have known Na Su more thanks to the community tourism model associated with preserving and developing the Thai ethnic culture. From this model, a number of tours and routes have been formed, connecting to combine community tourism to experience high-tech agricultural production, organic agriculture such as experiencing green pumpkin gardens, hydroponic vegetable growing models, melons in greenhouses... in the two districts of Nam Po and Muong Nhe.

In the districts of Dien Bien, Tua Chua, Tuan Giao, Muong Ang... there are many agricultural tourism models of growing strawberries, roses combined with fishing, tending flower gardens, flower roads; tourism combined with cuisine, admiring the ancient peach garden of writer Nguyen Duc Loi in Ang To commune... Dien Bien currently has 44 traditional occupations and craft villages of 19 ethnic groups. Developing craft villages associated with tourism is an inevitable direction of the province in the coming time.

In addition to the strengths of historical, cultural and ecological tourism, recently, many households and communities in the province have developed agricultural, rural and community tourism. This new type of tourism not only attracts tourists but also contributes to the development of the local economy, supporting the community in exploiting and selling agricultural and handicraft products...

According to the leader of Cha Nua commune, since the formation of the community tourism model combining tours, routes or building a cultural village of community tourism, the local face has been gradually changed. Here, the infrastructure system, lighting, cultural houses, environmental sanitation, natural landscapes, and preservation of traditional culture have been deployed synchronously. Thanks to that, the face of the countryside has changed clearly, becoming more spacious and clean.

The dual benefits of developing agricultural, rural and community tourism are undeniable. Doing tourism, ethnic minorities in remote villages become more confident and dynamic; their income is also getting better and better. In addition, community tourism contributes to raising awareness, knowledge and understanding of local authorities and people about social culture, accessing and learning experiences, economic achievements and ways of serving tourists from other localities.

Reality proves that by developing community tourism, agricultural and rural tourism, many cultural beauties of communities and villages are restored and expanded. Along with that, agriculture - forestry - fishery, traditional industries, local specialties, OCOP products... form a chain of distinct products, creating special highlights on the experiential tourism journey.

To better exploit the potential of agricultural, rural and community tourism, helping people have more jobs and increase their income, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has advised the Provincial People's Committee to issue a plan, set out tasks and solutions for implementation in the coming time. The focus is on mobilizing resources to upgrade and invest in developing rural tourism destinations associated with implementing new rural criteria. Survey and select specific agricultural and rural tourism products of each locality and select entities to participate in tourism development linkages.

To improve the effectiveness of developing agricultural, rural and community tourism in a sustainable manner, in the short and long term, it is necessary to focus on changing the mindset of doing tourism in a sustainable manner. At the same time, there must be appropriate mechanisms and policies to promote the development of agricultural and rural tourism. It is necessary to review provincial and local policies to ensure land management and appropriate training of rural labor to create a distinct mark in tourism development; strengthen environmental sanitation and food safety at resorts and tourism services...

With the right direction and implementation of many fundamental and synchronous solutions, we believe that in the near future, agricultural, rural and community tourism in Dien Bien province will develop more strongly, practically and effectively.
