According to the report of the Cao Bang Provincial Statistics Office, in the 2024-2025 winter-spring crop, the whole province has a tobacco growing area of 5,078 hectares. Of which, Hoa An district planted over 1,774 hectares; Ha Quang district planted over 1,220 hectares. Most households use new high-yield varieties such as GL7, GL6, GL9, TL16, C91, D65... which have been successfully tested in the area for good yield, quality and high resistance to pests and diseases. Tobacco has truly become a key crop, contributing to changing the lives of many people in Cao Bang.
Currently, tobacco plants are in the harvest period. To ensure productivity, output and economic value of tobacco plants, local authorities and investors continue to guide people on the process of picking, drying and preserving products, implementing purchasing plans, strengthening market inspections, ensuring harmonious interests between people and companies.
