Dong Nai and businesses join hands to support development

To achieve double-digit economic growth and strong development over a long period, Dong Nai has identified enterprises as an important driving force of the locality. The government and enterprises working together and supporting each other in developing economic and social programs is a prerequisite to achieve the above goal.

Businesses always expect support from local authorities.

As a businessman in the field of transportation and other industries, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Mui, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Saigon Transport Group Corporation, shared that his company has many member companies and thousands of employees operating in provinces and cities but still chooses Dong Nai as its "headquarters". Contributing to the development of the locality and the whole country is the responsibility of businessmen and enterprises. According to Mr. Mui, currently, the private economy is identified by the State as an important driving force in the country's development. Enterprises recommend that the locality pay more attention by having preferential policies to support loans and increase transparency in handling administrative procedures. Recently, many enterprises have complained about the handling of administrative procedures in Dong Nai. "I hope the province will pay more attention to reforming open administrative procedures, creating the best conditions for enterprises to operate in production and business, contributing more to the locality" - Mr. Mui proposed.

According to the Dong Nai Statistics Office, in the first quarter of 2025, enterprises and business households in the province invested nearly 11 trillion VND in production and business activities, an increase of more than 13.7% over the same period. The private economy accounts for a high proportion of the total investment capital implemented in the area (about 44-47%), contributing significantly to economic growth, increasing state budget revenue, creating jobs, improving people's lives, and ensuring social security.

Chairman of Dong Nai Business Federation Dang Van Diem said that through the survey, the business community currently wants to be facilitated in accessing land, production premises, green credit capital flows and support to connect to the production supply chain. To overcome difficulties and continue the recovery momentum, businesses want to continue to be exempted and reduced from income tax for 3-5 years; at the same time, there will be policies to deploy preferential loans in production, export... Dong Nai Business Federation will continue to be a policy bridge for the province to effectively and practically implement support programs for the business community.

In Dong Nai in particular and the whole country in general, the story of problems and backlogs in the implementation of policies and regulations for investors and enterprises is not new. In each meeting, contact and dialogue program, enterprises reflect and propose thorough solutions; there are new proposals but there are also old problems that have not been resolved. Reality shows that accompanying and resolving problems cannot stop at the viewpoints or affirmations of leaders but must be demonstrated by practical actions, from the head to those directly performing public duties.

Driving force for double-digit economic growth target

Chairman of the People's Committee Vo Tan Duc affirmed that in recent years, the province has always focused on improving the investment environment, aiming to attract and facilitate businesses to operate effectively. Every year, the Provincial People's Committee organizes conferences and dialogues with foreign and domestic enterprises, and cooperatives to discuss and resolve difficulties; listen to and accept the opinions and contributions of businesses, thereby further improving the province's investment environment.

In addition to the policy dialogue of provincial leaders, there are also many conferences, meetings, and private contacts on topics of departments, branches, and localities revolving around the problems that the business community faces; and the orientations and policies in attracting local investment.

According to Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc, Dong Nai will continue to promote administrative procedure reform, further improve the quality of human resources and infrastructure, and create a favorable investment environment. The province hopes that businesses will increase investment in the fields of modern technology, supporting industry, semiconductor industry, green technology, and environmental friendliness, with the orientation of sustainable development and improving competitiveness.

To gradually realize the task of accompanying enterprises, in early 2025, the Provincial People's Committee consolidated and established the Steering Committee for Enterprise Support and Economic Development of Dong Nai. This is an agency responsible for assisting the Provincial People's Committee in setting out directions, strategies, and solutions related to supporting enterprises, cooperatives, investors, and promoting economic and trade development. At the same time, the committee is responsible for proposing key tasks that need to be focused on directing and operating in each stage, in accordance with the province's development plans and programs.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Duong Minh Dung shared that the province hopes that business associations and professional associations in the area will promote their role as an extension of the government. Paying attention to the private economy, increasing dialogue, accompanying businesses to remove difficulties and obstacles, and supporting development are regular tasks of the locality.
