Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee disciplined

(NLDO) - The Prime Minister disciplined the Chairman of the People's Committee of Dak Lak province due to violations in a number of solar and wind power projects.

On December 12, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 1549 to discipline Mr. Pham Ngoc Nghi, Chairman of the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee, with a reprimand for violations and shortcomings in his work and for which he was subject to Party discipline.

Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee Pham Ngoc Nghi was disciplined with a reprimand.

The disciplinary period is calculated from the date of announcement of Decision No. 1796, dated November 8, 2024 of the Central Inspection Commission.

Previously, at the 49th session, the Central Inspection Committee reviewed and proposed disciplinary action against many Party organizations and Party members who violated the law.

At the meeting, after reviewing the inspection results when there were signs of violations and the review results, proposing disciplinary action against the Party Committee of the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee, the Central Inspection Committee found that the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2016-2021 and 2021-2026 terms violated the principle of democratic centralism and working regulations; lacked responsibility, loosened leadership and direction, allowing the Provincial People's Committee and many organizations and individuals to violate Party regulations and State laws in organizing the implementation of the Ho Chi Minh Road construction investment project to avoid the East of Buon Ma Thuot city; in implementing a number of solar power and wind power projects; a number of cadres and party members, including key cadres of the province, violated Party regulations and State laws on preventing and combating corruption and negativity, and violated regulations on what party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example.

Personal responsibility for the above violations and shortcomings belongs to Mr. Pham Ngoc Nghi, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Tuan Ha, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and a number of other officials.

Considering the content, nature, level, consequences, and causes of the violation; based on Party regulations, the Central Inspection Committee decided to discipline Mr. Pham Ngoc Nghi and Mr. Nguyen Tuan Ha with a reprimand.
