On the morning of March 27, comrades: Ngo Dong Hai, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negative Activities; Nguyen Tien Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Deputy Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negative Activities chaired the conference to review internal affairs and anti-corruption and negative activities in the first quarter, and deploy key tasks in the second quarter of 2024.

In the first quarter of 2024, political security and social order and safety continued to be ensured. All levels and sectors continued to promote their roles and responsibilities in leading and directing the implementation of military and defense tasks, maintaining maritime borders. Crime prevention, corruption and negativity achieved positive results. The effectiveness of coordination between all levels and sectors in forecasting, grasping the situation, advising Party committees and authorities to lead and direct the resolution of complicated security and order cases was gradually improved. Prosecution agencies focused on researching and speeding up the verification and settlement of denunciations and reports of crimes, investigating, prosecuting and trying corruption cases and serious and complicated cases and incidents of public concern. Inspection, supervision and monitoring work was carried out synchronously to ensure compliance with the set programs and plans. The work of receiving citizens, handling complaints and denunciations has had many positive changes; the contact and dialogue between leaders of Party committees and authorities with the people has been strengthened. The work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity has been seriously led and directed. The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Steering Committee have directed the timely implementation of documents of the Central Government, especially newly issued regulations; directed the focus on inspection and examination of sensitive areas, areas prone to corruption and negativity; implemented synchronous measures, resolutely recovered assets that were misappropriated or lost, discovered through inspection and examination. The Provincial People's Committee has actively directed and effectively implemented solutions to prevent corruption, thus effectively limiting the occurrence of negativity and corruption. Awareness and sense of compliance with the law in general, and the law on preventing and combating corruption and negativity in particular, of cadres, party members and people have clearly changed. Number of corruption cases detected and handled promptly and in accordance with legal regulations.
At the conference, delegates focused on clarifying some of the results achieved in connection with specific tasks of the sector, locality, agency and unit in the past time; at the same time, proposed some solutions to continue to effectively implement internal affairs and prevent and combat corruption and negativity in the coming time.

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Nguyen Tien Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Deputy Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negativity, emphasized a number of potential issues that need early and remote prevention measures; at the same time, he proposed to continue to promote information, propaganda, and orientation of public opinion; focus on effectively resolving complaints and denunciations; proactively inspect and examine sensitive areas that are prone to negativity, and publicize conclusions so that people know, understand, and agree. Strengthen state management in all areas, resolutely and strictly handle violations. Improve the effectiveness of coordination between units in the internal affairs sector in resolving work.
Concluding the conference, Comrade Ngo Dong Hai, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negative Behavior, acknowledged and highly appreciated the results of internal affairs and anti-corruption and negative behavior work of the province in recent times; at the same time, pointed out potential problems, shortcomings and limitations that need to be focused on and resolved.
Regarding the tasks in the coming time, he suggested continuing to focus on leading and directing the implementation of internal affairs tasks and preventing and combating corruption and negativity in accordance with the direction of the Central Committee and the policies of the province on the basis of promoting the achieved results and experiences and closely following the goals and tasks in the coming time. Focus on self-prevention, improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of Party organizations and organizations in the political system. Continue to promote administrative reform, improve the effectiveness and efficiency of Party committees and authorities at all levels. Continue to improve the effectiveness of propaganda and dissemination of the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws to all subjects, thereby raising awareness and sense of responsibility in implementation, avoiding violations and violations of regulations.
