Implementing the direction of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung has just announced the schedule for Lunar New Year, National Day, Victory Day 30-4 and International Labor Day 1-5 in 2025. - Lunar New Year holiday 2025: Officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers will have 9 days off, from January 25 to February 2, 2025, that is, from December 26, Giap Thin year to January 5, At Ty year. A total of 9 consecutive days. - National Day holiday 2025 : Officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers will have 4 days off, from August 30 to September 2, 2025. A total of 4 consecutive days. - On the occasion of Victory Day April 30 and International Labor Day May 1, 2025 : Officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers will have 5 days off, from April 30 to May 4, 2025 (swapping the working day from Friday, May 2 to Saturday, April 26, 2025). A total of 5 consecutive days. Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung noted that agencies and units implementing the Lunar New Year, National Day September 2, Victory Day April 30, and International Labor Day May 1 holidays need to arrange and organize work reasonably, ensuring service to organizations and people. In particular, officials and civil servants are on duty to handle sudden and unexpected work that occurs during the Tet holiday according to regulations. Agencies and units that do not have fixed days off every Saturday and Sunday should base on their plans and programs to arrange appropriate holidays. Enterprises can decide on the 2025 Lunar New Year holiday plan including 1 day at the end of the year of Giap Thin - 4 days at the beginning of the year of At Ty or 2 days at the end of the year of Giap Thin - 3 days at the beginning of the year of At Ty or 3 days at the end of the year of Giap Thin - 2 days at the beginning of the year of At Ty. The Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs encourages enterprises to announce the 2025 Lunar New Year and National Day holiday plan at least 30 days before implementation. In case the weekly holiday coincides with the Tet holiday, employees will be given compensatory leave.
