Hoa Binh city plants an average of 655 hectares of forest each year.

According to the report of the People's Committee of Hoa Binh city, from 2021 to present, the work of forest management, protection and development in the area has become increasingly effective.

Up to now, the forested area in Hoa Binh city is over 15,390 hectares, of which natural forest is 3,525.34 hectares and planted forest is 11,865.48 hectares. The output of planted forest wood is over 76.3 m3/ha, much higher than previous years (45 m3/ha). Some sustainable forestry business management models in the city have been successfully implemented, such as the forest planting model associated with forest certification (FSC).

From 2021 to 2024, Hoa Binh city planted about 2,623 hectares of forest, an average of 655 hectares per year, mainly production forest. Of which, the acacia mangium species accounts for over 90%. Although the area has not increased, the forest quality has increased day by day because the quality of the seed is gradually controlled. The phenomenon of exploiting young forests has gradually decreased, and the large-scale timber business model has received attention from people in Hoa Binh city.
