On the morning of January 10, the Central Internal Affairs Committee held a conference to review the work of the Party's Internal Affairs sector and the activities of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negativity (PCTNTC) in 2023, and set out directions and tasks for 2024. Comrade Truong Thi Mai - Politburo member, Permanent member of the Secretariat, Head of the Central Organization Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption chaired the conference. Comrade Phan Dinh Trac - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission, Permanent Deputy Head of the Central Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption and Prevention co-chaired the conference. The conference was broadcast online to 63 provinces and centrally-run cities. Reporting at the conference, Deputy Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission Vo Van Dung emphasized that 2023 is a pivotal year for implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress. In the context of complicated developments in the world and the region, with many new and more severe difficulties and challenges, the Party Internal Affairs sector and the provincial Steering Committees for Anti-Corruption and Prevention have made efforts to successfully complete the tasks according to the set programs and plans; contributing to promoting anti-corruption, maintaining political stability, socio-economic development and strengthening people's trust.
Notably, the work of researching, advising, proposing and implementing the Party's major viewpoints, policies and orientations, and the State's laws on internal affairs, anti-corruption and judicial reform continued to achieve many results.
Regarding the cases and incidents monitored and directed by the Central Steering Committee, the prosecution agencies have temporarily detained, seized, frozen, and prevented transactions of assets worth over VND 232,000 billion; during the civil judgment enforcement phase, over VND 9,000 billion has been recovered, bringing the total amount recovered since the establishment of the Steering Committee to date to VND 76,200 billion.

The work of guiding, urging, inspecting and supervising the fields of internal affairs, anti-corruption and judicial reform has achieved many positive results. The Internal Affairs Committee of the provincial Party Committee and the local Party Committees have coordinated with the inspection committees at the same level to conduct 216 inspections and supervisions and directly deployed 312 inspections and supervisions focusing on areas and fields with many prominent issues and public concerns about corruption and negativity.
The internal affairs committees of the provincial and municipal Party Committees have seriously and effectively implemented the emulation plan on "Detecting and advising the Party Committee to direct and handle corruption cases and incidents; proactively advising and proposing to handle complicated and prominent issues regarding security and order in the area". Through the preliminary summary, in the period of 2021 - 2023, the internal affairs committees of the provincial and municipal Party Committees have detected and advised the Party Committee to direct and handle 580 complicated and prominent issues regarding security and order; 780 corruption and negative cases and incidents.

During the year, provincial Steering Committees conducted 212 inspections, supervisions, and directed urgent inspections and examinations of topics and cases as requested by the Central Steering Committee and central authorities; brought 260 corruption and negative cases and cases under monitoring and direction; local authorities initiated 763 new cases and prosecuted 2,079 defendants for corruption...
In particular, many corruption and negative cases that have been pending and prolonged have been directed to be handled; many localities have prosecuted and investigated major corruption and negative cases, involving both officials under the management of the Central Government and the management of the Provincial and City Party Committees.
In 2024, the Party Internal Affairs sector will continue to innovate and create, focusing on implementing tasks according to 6 key groups. In particular, it will continue to do a good job of researching, advising and proposing the Party's major viewpoints, policies and orientations on internal affairs, anti-corruption and judicial reform. Thanks to that, the political security, order and social safety situation in the area was stable, ensuring effective service for the local socio-economic development. The authorities have proactively deployed forces, means, and preventive measures, promptly handled complicated cases and incidents, ensured security and order in all situations, and strictly handled all types of crimes and violations of the law. Local military and defense work has been effectively implemented. Inspection, examination, and supervision work has been strengthened, gradually curbing and pushing back corruption and negativity. Dialogue and petition resolution work has been carried out seriously. In 2024, following the direction of the Central Government and the practical situation of the province, Ha Tinh will soon issue a key work program on internal affairs and anti-corruption, implementing it to ensure effectiveness and efficiency. Speaking at the conference, Comrade Truong Thi Mai - Standing member of the Secretariat, Head of the Central Organization Committee suggested that in the coming time, the Party Internal Affairs sector and the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Judicial Reform need to strengthen and improve the effectiveness of guiding, monitoring, urging, inspecting and supervising the implementation of the Party's guidelines and resolutions, the State's policies and laws on internal affairs, anti-corruption and judicial reform.
