(Dan Tri) - Neighbors discovered a loud explosion at Mr. M's warehouse accompanied by a column of smoke, and quickly reported it to the authorities.
On the morning of February 7, a large fire broke out at a warehouse in My Tho City, Tien Giang Province. Firefighting forces arrived promptly and contained the fire, causing no casualties.
According to initial information, at 8:00 a.m. the same day, people discovered black smoke rising from a warehouse containing nets and buoys of a household in Hamlet 2, Trung An Commune, My Tho City.
The fire quickly spread, burning down part of the warehouse with an area of about 50 square meters.
Some people living near the scene said that after the homeowner closed the door to go to the market, they heard a tire explosion and saw black smoke rising, so they shouted and called the authorities.
Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Tien Giang Provincial Police dispatched 4 specialized vehicles and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene to put out the fire.
After 30 minutes of active fire fighting, the fire was controlled and did not spread to surrounding houses.
Initial damage statistics show that the fire damaged part of the warehouse and a motorbike. Fortunately, there were no casualties.
Through investigation, the above warehouse is owned by Mr. LVM's family, a specialist in manufacturing fishing net buoys.
Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the incident.
