Previously, at 1:30 p.m. on June 10, in the sea area about 50 nautical miles southeast of Que Duong beach, the working group of the Department of Professional Affairs and Law discovered a wooden fishing boat with registration number KG-94931 TS with many suspicious signs, so they signaled to stop the boat for administrative inspection.
Coast Guard inspects ships violating the law.
At the time of inspection, there were 4 crew members on board, captained by Mr. Do Van Khanh (born in 1968, residing in Vinh Hiep, Rach Gia, Kien Giang). According to Mr. Khanh's statement, the KG-94931 TS was not engaged in fishing but was transporting about 45,000 liters of DO oil. Through initial inspection, all of this oil did not have invoices or documents proving its legal origin.
The authorities have drawn up a record and escorted the illegal fishing boat to the mainland for handling.
