To improve the achievements of Vietnamese sports in major international arenas requires many factors, the most important of which is to have good experts and coaches. Thanks to the two coaches, Hoang Xuan Vinh overcame his psychological weakness to be able to step up to the highest position at the 2016 Olympics. After coach Nguyen Thi Nhung left the team, expert Park Chung-gun continued to stay with the shooting team and since last year, he has had a new role as head coach of the Vietnamese shooting team.

Since leading the shooting team in a new role, despite having a new generation of inexperienced athletes, expert Park Chung-gun has "molded" them into warriors of the Vietnamese shooting team and the team has achieved proud achievements. That is the gold medal of shooter Pham Quang Huy at the 19th Asian Games and 2 official tickets to the 2024 Paris Olympics for Trinh Thu Vinh and Le Thi Mong Tuyen.
