Cam Xuyen District (Ha Tinh) has just handed over 7.8 km of land for the project "Renovation and upgrading of National Highway 8C from Thien Cam - National Highway 1 and from National Highway 8 to Ho Chi Minh Road, Ha Tinh Province" passing through the area.
On the morning of September 14, Cam Xuyen District People's Committee organized the handover of the site to the investor to implement the project "Renovation and upgrading of National Highway 8C from Thien Cam - National Highway 1 and from National Highway 8 to Ho Chi Minh Road, Ha Tinh Province". |
Cam Xuyen district hands over field markers of the section passing through Nam Phuc Thang commune to the project investor.
The project was approved by the Ministry of Transport in Decision No. 268/QD-BGTVT dated March 3, 2022 and assigned the Ha Tinh Department of Transport as the investor.
The project has a total length of 27.7 km, including 2 sections: section 1 is 11 km long from Thien Cam town to National Highway 1 in Cam Xuyen town (Cam Xuyen district) and section 2 is 16.7 km long from the intersection with National Highway 8 in Son Long commune to the intersection with Ho Chi Minh road in Son Trung commune (Huong Son district).
The project will be implemented from 2022 to 2025. When completed, it will gradually complete National Highway 8C according to the approved plan; strengthen connectivity and improve the exploitation capacity of National Highway 1 with Thien Cam Tourist Area; ensure smooth and safe traffic, support rescue work during the rainy and flood season in the left bank of Ngan Pho River; create favorable conditions to support the development of tourism, local socio-economy, and ensure regional defense and security.
The project has a total investment of about 1,076 billion VND, drawn from the central budget (846 billion VND) and Ha Tinh province budget (230 billion VND). Of which, the cost of compensation for site clearance and resettlement support is more than 343 billion VND with a total land acquisition area of about 57.94 hectares.
National Highway 8C, Thien Cam town section
In Cam Xuyen district alone, the project passes through 11 km of the following areas: Thien Cam town, Nam Phuc Thang commune and Cam Xuyen town with 834 affected households; the total compensation cost for site clearance is about 71 billion VND.
At the meeting, Cam Xuyen district handed over 7.8 km/11 km of land to the project investor. This is the area within the land corridor managed by the commune. Previously, in the process of granting land use right certificates and allocating land to households, the local government had deducted the road boundary markers.
Currently, the Council for Compensation, Support, Resettlement, and Land Acquisition for the project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 8C in Cam Xuyen district has completed a 100% inventory of households affected by the project. The district is also assigning the People's Committees of communes and towns to focus on determining the origin and time of land use and asset use to have a basis for pricing, approving and paying compensation costs to households; reviewing documents and records to establish compensation procedures for essential works and technical infrastructure such as: electricity lines, water lines, telecommunication cables, etc. in accordance with State regulations. Cam Xuyen district strives to basically hand over 100% of the site to the investor in October. |
