The Department of Transport announced that it will limit the maximum speed allowed on the Thu Duc steel overpass (traffic direction from Dong Nai province to Ho Chi Minh City) from 60km/h to 40km/h during the construction of the TH2 pillar. The adjustment location starts from the middle of the Thu Duc steel overpass.

In addition, the transport sector also installed alternative route guidance signs for vehicles on Hanoi Highway (before reaching Thu Duc steel overpass) from Suoi Tien to Thu Duc steel overpass so that drivers can easily recognize them.

Metro Line 1 has a total investment of more than VND43,000 billion. The project is nearly 20km long with 3 underground stations and 11 elevated stations. To date, the progress of the entire project has reached more than 98% of the workload. Contractors are implementing some final items to put the project into commercial operation in the fourth quarter of 2024. In particular, the construction of 9 pedestrian overpasses connecting to 9 elevated stations of Metro Line 1 is also being accelerated.

9 pedestrian overpasses were built connecting to the metro station including: Tan Cang, Thao Dien, An Phu, Rach Chiec, Phuoc Long, Binh Thai, Thu Duc, High Technology, National University.

When completed, the pedestrian bridge will ensure safe connectivity and accessibility for metro passengers. At the same time, this will also be the main exit route of the station in case of emergency.
