Ho Chi Minh City banned vehicles on 20 central routes, Ba Son Bridge, and Khanh Hoi Bridge to serve the fireworks display to welcome the new year 2025.
On New Year's Eve 2025, Ho Chi Minh City plans to organize fireworks displays at 3 locations. The fireworks will start at 0:00 on January 1, 2025 and last for 15 minutes.
Of which, the high-altitude point at the beginning of the Saigon River tunnel (Thu Duc City) will feature 1,500 high-altitude fireworks, 30 low-altitude fireworks, and 10 pyrotechnic fireworks.
To ensure traffic order and safety for the fireworks display to welcome the New Year, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport announced that from 0:00 to 0:15 on January 1, 2025, all vehicles will be banned from entering 20 routes.
Specifically: Le Loi Street (section from Dong Khoi to Pasteur); Nguyen Hue Street (section from Le Thanh Ton to Ton Duc Thang); Dong Khoi Street (section from Mac Thi Buoi to Ton Duc Thang); Ton Duc Thang Street (section from Nguyen Sieu to Khanh Hoi Bridge); Vo Van Kiet Street (section from Ho Tung Mau to Khanh Hoi Bridge underpass); Ngo Van Nam Street (section from Nguyen Sieu to Ton Duc Thang); Nguyen Sieu Street (section from Ngo Van Nam to Ton Duc Thang); Nguyen Tat Thanh Street (section from Khanh Hoi Bridge to Hoang Dieu); Ham Nghi Street (section from Ho Tung Mau to Ton Duc Thang); Hai Trieu Street (section from Ho Tung Mau to Nguyen Hue); Nguyen Thiep Street (section from Dong Khoi to Nguyen Hue); Huynh Thuc Khang Street (section from Ho Tung Mau to Nguyen Hue); Ton That Thiep Street (section from Ho Tung Mau to Nguyen Hue); Ngo Duc Ke Street (section from Dong Khoi to Ho Tung Mau); Mac Thi Buoi Street (from Dong Khoi to Nguyen Hue); Roads around Me Linh Square roundabout.
The Department also announced a ban on traffic through Ba Son Bridge (District 1 connecting Thu Duc City), Khanh Hoi Bridge (District 1 connecting District 4). All types of vehicles are prohibited from stopping and gathering to watch fireworks on Thu Thiem Bridge, Binh Loi Bridge, Binh Trieu Bridge, Mong Bridge, Calmette Bridge, Ong Lanh Bridge, Hang Xanh Crossroads Overpass, Go Dua Crossroads Overpass, Binh Trieu Bridge, Phu My Bridge, Nguyen Huu Canh Overpass, Kenh Thanh Da Bridge, Saigon Bridge, and Rach Chiec Bridge.

Direction from Binh Thanh district to district 4: Nguyen Huu Canh → Ton Duc Thang → Nguyen Du → Chu Manh Trinh → Le Thanh Ton → Pham Hong Thai → Nguyen Thi Nghia → Nguyen Thai Hoc → Ong Lanh bridge → Hoang Dieu → Nguyen Tat Thanh (district 4).
Direction from District 4 to Binh Thanh District: Nguyen Tat Thanh (District 4) → Hoang Dieu → Ong Lanh Bridge → Nguyen Thai Hoc → Nguyen Thi Nghia → Cach Mang Thang Tam → Nguyen Thi Minh Khai → Xo Viet Nghe Tinh (Binh Thanh District).
Direction from Thu Duc City to District 5: Vo Nguyen Giap (Thu Duc City) → Dien Bien Phu → Dinh Tien Hoang → Vo Thi Sau → Ba Thang Hai → Le Hong Phong (District 5).
Direction from District 5 to Thu Duc City: Le Hong Phong (District 5) → Dien Bien Phu → Vo Nguyen Giap (Thu Duc City).
