Cam Pha: Efforts to resolve voters' petitions

With flexible, creative and drastic direction, over the years, the work of resolving voters' petitions in Cam Pha City has always been given attention and resolved promptly.

Voters of Quang Hanh ward petitioned that the Km8 urban area project of Quang Ninh Investment Group has been implemented for several years, but some households in the project have been granted land use right certificates but have not been provided with electricity and water.

Receiving voters' recommendations, the City People's Committee directed the Urban Management Department and Quang Hanh Ward People's Committee, Cam Pha Electricity to urge the investor to promptly overcome the shortcomings and connect electricity and water for people. The investor has repaired and completed the project so that people can be provided with and use clean water; coordinated with Cam Pha Electricity to repair and install the electricity system for households.

Voters representing the parents' associations of Cam Thanh and Quang Hanh wards requested city leaders to direct specialized departments and offices to review, research, and provide specific instructions on the issue of each meal for boarding children in kindergartens having to pay tax twice when buying food and when organizing the cooking.

Receiving voters' opinions, the City People's Committee has directed the Department of Education and Training to send a document to the Tax Department of Cam Pha - Van Don - Co To area and the Department of Education and Training to request specific instructions. Based on the agreement with the Provincial Tax Department, the Department of Education and Training has issued a document guiding the collection and payment of taxes on service revenues serving and supporting educational activities as prescribed in Resolution No. 34/2021/NQ-HDND of the Provincial People's Council; including instructions on tax payment for each revenue and each service serving and supporting educational activities.

The City Department of Education and Training requests educational institutions to disseminate the content of the above guidance document of the Department of Education and Training to all cadres, teachers, employees, and parents of students for understanding, deployment, and coordination of implementation.

Voters of Cam Binh ward requested to repair degraded and damaged electric poles located in the middle of residential roads. Receiving voters' opinions, the City People's Committee sent a document to the City Electricity Department. Urgently implement investment plans, fulfill commitments to allocate resources to build new power lines... ensure progress, and thoroughly resolve voters' petitions.

The city always pays attention to directing departments, branches, sectors, units, People's Committees of wards and communes to strictly implement the directive documents of the province and city related to resolving and responding to voters' petitions according to their functions, authority, and in accordance with the provisions of law; propose and promptly report to the City People's Committee for consideration and direction on problematic contents or ask for opinions from superiors on contents beyond their authority.

Thanks to that, voters' recommendations under the authority of departments, units, and People's Committees of wards and communes are basically resolved, creating consensus among the people, contributing to socio-economic development and maintaining security and order in the area. Departments, units, wards and communes regularly grasp opinions and recommendations to promptly and thoroughly resolve them right at the grassroots level, always considering responding to voters' opinions as a regular task, not just focusing on City People's Council meetings.
