In line with the spirit of the Resolution and the documents guiding the implementation of the province, in recent times, the District Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee of Can Loc district have always paid attention to and prioritized the development of education. The socialization of education has contributed significantly to the construction of an increasingly spacious school system. In the past 10 years, the whole district has mobilized nearly 150 billion VND to consolidate and build facilities and purchase teaching equipment.
The sector has directed schools to actively and proactively innovate teaching methods and forms in a modern direction, promoting the positivity, initiative, creativity and application of knowledge and skills of learners. The new 2018 textbook program has been systematically operated and effectively promoted in educational institutions.
Head of the District Party Committee's Propaganda Department Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoai reported the summary.
Can Loc is also one of the leading units implementing the model of teaching English according to students' actual abilities. Up to now, nearly 70% of secondary schools have specialized English classrooms, all schools have TVs connected to wifi in classrooms, and have enough audio equipment for teaching; 100% of schools have computers for students to study and research; 100% of primary and secondary schools organize computer teaching. The rate of teachers applying information technology for teaching has increased by 42%; 100% of experimental teaching hours and excellent teacher competitions use information technology.
In addition to the achieved results, the conference also frankly pointed out the shortcomings such as: school facilities are still limited, especially a few schools after the merger still have to study at two or three school locations, affecting management work and quality improvement. The province's support budget for schools after the merger has not been implemented; the work of building schools that meet national standards has encountered many difficulties in terms of resources; some schools that meet the standards are not yet stable; the rate of schools that meet the standards at all levels and grades has not met the set plan. Private schools have not been established in the area. The management staff and teachers are inadequate in structure, the quality is uneven, there is still a local surplus or shortage, especially the shortage of primary school culture teachers.
Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Nguyen Xuan Hai: We need to pay more attention to the work of building a team of teachers and educational managers that is consistent and of high quality to meet the requirements of education and training reform. Strengthen political, ideological, ethical and lifestyle education, and focus on party development for cadres, teachers and students in the whole sector.
To continue to effectively implement Resolution 29 in the new situation, in the coming time, Can Loc district has identified a number of key tasks: Continue to promote propaganda work, especially, thoroughly grasp and concretize viewpoints, goals, tasks, and solutions in the spirit of Resolution 29 and the 2018 general education program; focus on building a team of teachers and educational managers that are consistent and of high quality to meet the requirements of education and training innovation. Continue to strongly innovate teaching and learning methods in the direction of promoting positivity, proactiveness, and creativity to develop learners' capacity and qualities.
Continue to increase investment resources for education, focus on building facilities, purchasing teaching equipment in the direction of standardization and modernization, meeting the requirements of improving teaching quality. Develop non-public types of preschool education, encourage the opening of private preschools and independent children's groups. Promote the socialization of education, encourage learning and talent, build a learning society, attach importance to the lifelong learning movement in families, clans and communities.
