On November 7, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Information and Communications, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Phan Tam handed over decisions on appointment, transfer, reappointment and delegation of authority to 5 leaders at 4 units under the Ministry including the Department of Planning and Finance, the Press Department, the National Digital Transformation Department, and the Information Security Department.

According to the newly announced decision, Director of the Department of Information Security Le Van Tuan was transferred and appointed to the position of Director of the Department of National Digital Transformation. With extensive experience as a leader at the head level in many units, Mr. Le Van Tuan is trusted by the Party Committee and the Ministry's leaders to join the Department of National Digital Transformation to create a unified and united bloc, coordinating to promptly resolve the unit's many and difficult tasks.

Replacing Mr. Le Van Tuan in running the Information Security Department is Deputy Director Tran Quang Hung, who has just been assigned by the Minister of Information and Communications to be the Director of the Information Security Department since November 6. This is an opportunity for Mr. Hung to continue working with the staff, civil servants and employees of the Department to contribute to protecting Vietnam's prosperity in cyberspace, and at the same time, an opportunity to improve his own capacity.

The Information Security Department's leadership was also supplemented by the Minister of Information and Communications with a Deputy Director, Mr. Le Anh Tuan, Deputy Director of the Department of Digital Economy and Digital Society, who has just been transferred to the Department. With the addition of Mr. Le Anh Tuan, the Information Security Department has more leadership personnel to consolidate financial investment activities and enhance physical facilities to better serve the task of ensuring network information security.

Ms. Dinh Thi Linh Huong, a senior specialist of the Department of Planning and Finance, was appointed to the position of Deputy Director of the Department of Planning and Finance from November 6. Ms. Dinh Thi Linh Huong took on the new assignment at a time when the Department of Planning and Finance was transitioning from the 6X generation to the 7X and 8X generation, with the expectation of contributing to opening a new chapter for the unit.

Recognizing the outstanding work results over the past 5 years and the action plan with many new ideas of Ms. Mai Huong Giang, who has been working in journalism for 23 years, the leaders of the Ministry of Information and Communications have just decided to re-appoint Ms. Giang to hold the position of Deputy Director of the Press Department.

Congratulating the officials who have just been awarded the decision, Deputy Minister Phan Tam said that the Party Committee and the leaders of the Ministry of Information and Communications acknowledge and highly appreciate the spirit of service, dedication, and readiness to accept difficult and challenging tasks of the 5 personnel receiving the new assignment.

According to Deputy Minister Phan Tam, the newly appointed, reappointed and assigned officials are all very serious and responsible in building the action program for the coming time; have set high goals and new, creative ways to contribute to solving difficulties and developing the unit.

Stating that the Ministry of Information and Communications' new assignment is to create opportunities for officials to be trained, fostered, practiced and challenged, Deputy Minister Phan Tam also noted the heavy responsibility of leaders at the present time, when there is still a lot of work in 2024 and preparing to enter 2025, the year that needs to be well prepared for the next 5-year term, opening the era of national growth, implementing the digital transformation revolution.

“In that context, the Party Executive Committee and the leadership of the Ministry of Information and Communications hope that you, who are taking on the task today, will strive with the collective of cadres, civil servants and employees of your unit to do better, be more creative, more thorough, more determined and have more breakthroughs in thinking, finding solutions to solve the work,” Deputy Minister Phan Tam suggested.

The officers taking on new responsibilities all thanked the leaders of the Ministry of Information and Communications for their trust and pledged to work together with the unit to successfully complete the assigned tasks in the coming time.

Realizing that the new task at the National Digital Transformation Agency is extremely heavy, Mr. Le Van Tuan said that one of the tasks that he and the Agency will focus on in the coming time is to effectively advise and coordinate with relevant units of the Party to complete and soon have the Politburo approve the Resolution on digital transformation; advise on developing implementation plans after the Resolution is issued to soon transform the Resolution's orientations into specific activities in documents and resolutions of Party congresses at all levels.

In his new role, Acting Director of the Department of Information Security Tran Quang Hung pledged not to disappoint the trust of the leaders of the Ministry of Information and Communications, and to work with the leadership of the Department of Information Security to best perform key tasks such as: Building a united and strong Department; continuing to develop an elite force of information security experts; continuously and proactively researching and applying new technologies in the field of information security.

At the same time, improve the capacity to monitor and process information in cyberspace to meet new requirements and be ready for the upcoming important task of the 14th Party Congress; focus on protecting people in cyberspace...

Deputy Director of the Department of Information Security Le Anh Tuan promised to do his best to research, learn and complete the assigned tasks including: Consulting on licensing of business of network information security products and services; organizing the issuance of import licenses for network information security products; organizing the inspection, examination and handling of administrative violations of the law in the field of network information security; managing investment and finance; international cooperation on network information security.

Along with clearly identifying 3 key tasks to focus on in the coming time, Deputy Director of the Department of Planning and Finance Dinh Thi Linh Huong shared that the new tasks are both recognition and a big challenge, requiring more responsibility, greater vision, and more determination in work.

Deputy Director of the Press Department Mai Huong Giang confided: “I promise myself that the next term will be different; at least, a better version of myself than yesterday; promoting creativity, new ways of doing things, challenging myself more. I have built my action plan for the next 5 years and committed to implementing it.”
