XINHUA. Chinese President Xi Jinping has called for an "international peace conference" to resolve the conflict between Israel and Hamas.

TASS. Chairman of the State Duma (lower house of parliament) of Russia Vyacheslav Volodin arrived in China on an official visit together with a delegation of Russian lawmakers.
CHINA DAILY. Cooperation China-Japan-South Korea ties are in line with the common interests of all three countries, as well as beneficial to regional stability and prosperity, according to Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Mao Ning.
KOREA TIMES. Nuclear envoys from the US, Japan and South Korea held a three-way phone call regarding North Korea's plan to launch a military satellite.
YONHAP. The US aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson docked at a naval base in the city of Busan as the US reaffirmed its security commitment to South Korea.
YONHAP. South Korean Marines conduct a large-scale amphibious assault exercise in Pohang involving thousands of troops, landing ships and helicopters.
XINHUA. Afghan police discovered a large arsenal of weapons and ammunition in the northern provinces of Faryab and Baghlan.
PTI. India and Russia are holding joint naval exercises in the Bay of Bengal, involving ships from Moscow's Pacific Fleet.
Europe
BBC. The UK and South Korea are expected to sign a joint statement on launching negotiations to update their bilateral FTA today, November 22, on the sidelines of a state visit to the UK by South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol.
DW. German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius announced that Berlin will support Ukraine with a new military aid package worth 1.3 billion euros ($1.42 billion), including an additional IRIS-T air defense missile system.

BLOOMBERG. The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filed a lawsuit in San Francisco federal court against the world's third-largest digital currency exchange Kraken, alleging that it operated illegally without first registering with the regulator.
CNN. The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) warns of a risk of listeria outbreaks linked to fruits such as peaches and plums.
AL JAZEERA. The Nicaraguan government has announced its official withdrawal from the Organization of American States (OAS) , the first time a country has officially left the OAS.

AFP. More than 60 people are believed to have been killed in clashes between Boko Haram jihadists and a rival group linked to the self-proclaimed "Islamic State" (IS) group in Nigeria.
DAILY SABAH. Severe flooding in Somalia has killed nearly 50 people and forced nearly 700,000 to flee their homes.
AP. The eruption of Ulawun, Papua New Guinea's tallest volcano, has eased, but it is still sending thick ash clouds blanketing rooftops and palm plantations in nearby areas.
