Ministry of Foreign Affairs quickly announces the results of the 10th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee

On October 11, at the Ministry's Headquarters, the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held a conference to quickly announce the results of the 10th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee.

Authorized by comrade Nguyen Minh Vu, candidate member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Minister, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (due to urgent work), comrade Nguyen Dac Thanh, Chief of the Office of the Party Committee - Organizing Union chaired the Conference.

Attending the Conference were comrades from Party committees and affiliated Party cells; heads and leaders of functional units of the Ministry; representatives of the Ministry's Trade Union Executive Committee, Ministry's Youth Union, etc. The Conference was broadcast live to the Meeting Room, Office Building No. 2 Le Quang Dao.

At the Conference, Comrade Nguyen Dac Thanh informed the delegates of the results of the 10th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee, taking place from September 18-20, 2024 in Hanoi, chaired by General Secretary and President To Lam.

With a spirit of urgency, concentration, determination, and working outside of office hours, the Conference discussed and gave opinions on the following important contents: (1) Draft Political Report to be submitted to the 14th National Party Congress. (2) Summary of some theoretical and practical issues on the socialist-oriented renovation process in Vietnam over the past 40 years.

(3) Draft Report on 5 years of implementing the 10-year Socio-Economic Development Strategy 2021 - 2030; directions and tasks for socio-economic development in the 5-year period 2026-2030. (4) Draft Report on assessing the implementation of the Socio-Economic Development Plan in 2024, the projected Socio-Economic Development Plan in 2025. Report on assessing the implementation of the State budget in 2024, the State budget estimate in 2025; The 3-year National State Budget - Finance Plan 2025-2027.

(5) On summarizing the personnel work of the 13th Party Central Committee and building the direction for personnel work of the 14th Party Central Committee; introducing personnel for the planning of the Politburo and Secretariat for the 14th term, 2026-2031 term; introducing additional personnel for the planning of the 14th Party Central Committee, 2026-2031 term.

(6) Amending and supplementing Decision No. 244-QD/TW, dated June 9, 2014 of the 11th Party Central Committee on promulgating the Party Election Regulations. (7) Drafting a report summarizing the Party building work and the implementation of the Party Charter to be submitted to the 14th National Party Congress.

(8) Policy on investing in high-speed railway on the North-South axis. (9) Policy on establishing Hue city under the Central Government. (10) Personnel work: Electing additional members of the Central Inspection Committee and some other important contents.

Comrade Nguyen Dac Thanh emphasized that with the spirit of innovation, creativity, responsibility and urgency, the delegates contributed many ideas to the preparation contents of the Conference. Each discussion content in the Group had more than 100 opinions expressed.

The Party Central Committee focused on discussing the Draft Political Report to be submitted to the 14th National Party Congress and considered that the Report had been carefully and meticulously prepared, with comprehensive and complete content, closely following the Constitution as well as the Conclusion of the Central Committee. The Central Committee contributed many comprehensive and profound opinions, both theoretical and practical, on each content, and continued to direct the supplementation and completion of the Draft Report.

Regarding the theme of the 14th National Party Congress, there are 8 options. The Party Central Committee has highly agreed on option 1 with the theme: "Proud and confident under the glorious flag of the Party, join hands and unite, successfully implement the country's development goals by 2030, practically celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Party's founding, create a solid foundation, enter a new era of development for a peaceful, independent, democratic, prosperous, prosperous, civilized, happy Vietnam, firmly moving towards socialism".

The Central Executive Committee unanimously agreed that, in the context of many difficulties and great challenges, with the high will and determination of the entire Party, the entire people, the entire army and the entire political system, the implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress has achieved outstanding achievements and results: Economic development has basically fulfilled the main and important goals;

Cultural, social and human development has made progress in many aspects; National defense and security have been constantly strengthened; foreign relations and international integration have been enhanced; Party building and rectification and the political system have been synchronous, clean and comprehensively strong; the fight against corruption and negativity has continued to be vigorously promoted, achieving many important results.

The Central Executive Committee determined that, during the 14th Congress term, it is necessary to continue to strengthen the building and rectification of the Party and the political system to be clean and strong in all aspects; promote the strength of culture, people and the great national unity bloc combined with the strength of the times; promote innovation, digital transformation, green transformation; develop the country rapidly and sustainably and firmly protect the Fatherland; maintain a peaceful and stable environment; turn our country into a developing country with high average income and modern industry by 2030, practically celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Party's founding, towards realizing the vision by 2045, completing the goal of the 100th anniversary of the country's founding, turning our country into a developed country with high income; create a solid premise for the country to enter a new era of development for a peaceful, independent, democratic, prosperous, happy Vietnam, firmly advancing towards socialism.

Regarding the Draft Report on 5 years of implementing the 10-year Socio-Economic Development Strategy 2021-2030; directions and tasks for socio-economic development in the 5 years 2026-2030, the Central Executive Committee assessed that over the past 5 years, under the leadership of the Party, the management of the State, the efforts of the entire political system, the entire people and the entire army, our country's socio-economy has achieved many important, outstanding, and quite comprehensive results, basically completing the main set goals.

The Central Executive Committee calls on the entire Party, people and army to strengthen solidarity and unity, strive to overcome difficulties and challenges, focus on overcoming the consequences of storms and floods, soon stabilize people's lives, restore production, determined to successfully carry out the tasks of 2024, accelerate to successfully implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress; successfully organize Party congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term towards the 14th National Party Congress.
