Ministry of Education and Training transferred to Ministry of Public Security for verification and clarification

This afternoon (June 28), while candidates were taking the 2023 High School Graduation Math exam, there was a suspicion that the Math exam questions had been leaked.

The math exam code for the 2023 high school graduation exam is suspected to have been leaked while candidates were taking the exam.

According to the information reported, the image of the Math exam for the 2023 high school graduation exam that was leaked was code 113, from question 41 to question 45. Through comparison with the official code 113 from the Ministry of Education and Training after the end of the exam, the content from question 41 to 45 completely matches the image of the exam that was said to be leaked.

Accordingly, the National Steering Committee for the 2023 High School Graduation Exam (Ministry of Education and Training) said: "Regarding the suspicion of leaking math exam questions, the Steering Committee has grasped the information and transferred the information to the Department of Internal Political Security (Ministry of Public Security) to verify, clarify, and handle according to regulations. Currently, this information does not affect the exam."

At the end of the math exam this afternoon, the Ministry of Education and Training announced that 99.63% of registered candidates had attended the exam. There were only 2 candidates nationwide who violated exam regulations. According to the general assessment, the exam took place safely, seriously, and in accordance with regulations.

This afternoon, June 28, the Ministry of Education and Training also expressed its opinion on the information that "the literary argument in the Literature exam of the 2023 High School Graduation Exam used the same language used in the local graduation mock exam".

The Ministry of Education and Training said that, for now, the Exam Steering Committee finds that it is completely normal for the exam questions to use the same materials. The difference is that each exam question has different specific requirements (analysis, evaluation, commentary, comments, etc.).

Previously, according to the Ministry of Education and Training, regarding the photo of the Literature exam appearing online at around 8am this morning, June 28, the ministry has grasped the information and transferred it to the Internal Political Security Department (Ministry of Public Security) for verification. If any violations are discovered, they will be strictly handled according to regulations.

The Ministry of Education and Training also affirmed: "The above information does not affect the exam because the ability to interact is only for one candidate. Up to this point, the Ministry of Education and Training has not recorded any information about solving questions or instructions on solving questions from outside the exam room. The Ministry of Education and Training recommends that examination councils continue to strengthen plans to prevent high-tech devices to minimize the possibility of cheating in the exam room, and strictly manage exam questions according to regulations."
