At a recent working session with the Central Policy and Strategy Committee, General Secretary To Lam directed research into establishing a "National Housing Fund" to develop low-cost housing in large cities.
This is an important requirement, of great concern to people, especially in the context of increasing housing prices, young people's incomes not keeping up, the dream of owning a house in big cities, including Ho Chi Minh City, becomes distant for many people.
Faced with that reality, the Lao Dong Newspaper in collaboration with the Vietnam Real Estate Association will organize a discussion on the topic "Real Estate: Housing for Young People" at 8:30 a.m. on April 3 in Ho Chi Minh City.
The seminar is an opportunity for management agencies, experts, businesses and young people to discuss and propose solutions to narrow the gap between the "dream of owning a house" and market reality.
The program was attended by representatives of management agencies:
Mr. Vuong Duy Dung, Deputy Director of the Department of Housing and Real Estate Market Management - Ministry of Construction ;
Mr. Nguyen Duc Lenh, Deputy Director of State Bank Region 2;
Mr. Pham Dang Ho, Head of Urban Development Department - Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction;
Representatives of Dong Nai and Binh Duong provinces.
Along with that are experts in the real estate field such as:
Dr. Truong Anh Tuan, Vice President of Vietnam Real Estate Association, Chairman of Hoang Quan Group;
Mr. Le Hoang Chau - Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City Real Estate Association;
Mr. Giang Quoc Dung, Chairman of Binh Duong Real Estate Association;
Mr. Pham Lam, Executive Committee Member of Vietnam Real Estate Association - Chief Representative in Ho Chi Minh City.
There were also representatives of leaders of many banks and enterprises such as ACB, DKRA Vietnam, Seaholdings, Bcons, EximRS, Phu Dong Group, Thang Long Real Corp, Vietbank...
The Lao Dong Newspaper hopes that the program will be a space for open and substantive dialogue, contributing to shaping more suitable housing policies and models for the young generation in the coming period.
The seminar will take place in 2 sessions: Overview of real estate in 2025 and young people's home buying needs; and content session on removing barriers for young people to access housing.
