Mr. Hien's son becomes Chairman of Vietravel Airlines Board of Directors

On April 1, Vietnam Airlines Joint Stock Company (Vietravel Airlines) held an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders in 2025, approving the election of the Board of Directors (BOD) and the Supervisory Board for the 2025-2030 term.

At the first meeting, the new Board of Directors unanimously elected Mr. Do Vinh Quang, Vice Chairman of T&T Group, to hold the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietravel Airlines.

In addition, the new Board of Directors also includes Mr. Do Quang Vinh, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of SHB Bank, Chairman of BVIM Fund; Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Nghi, Deputy General Director of T&T Group; and senior personnel from T&T Airlines and T&T SuperPort.

Speaking at the congress, Mr. Do Quang Hien, Founder and Executive Chairman of T&T Group, emphasized that although Vietravel Airlines was established during the difficult period of the COVID-19 pandemic, it has overcome challenges and affirmed its position in the aviation market.

"As a major shareholder, T&T Group is committed to accompanying and helping Vietravel Airlines make a breakthrough to become one of the leading airlines in Vietnam, reaching out to the region" - Mr. Do Quang Hien affirmed.

The new Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietravel Airlines, Mr. Do Vinh Quang, said that the airline will synchronously implement restructuring solutions, standardize the management system and improve the quality of human resources. Vietravel Airlines aims to expand its fleet, increase domestic routes, develop international routes, and at the same time aim to become a green, professional, modern and sustainable airline.

With the support of T&T Group and the new leadership team, Vietravel Airlines expects to create strong breakthroughs in the coming period, consolidating its position in the Vietnamese and regional aviation market.

Mr. Do Vinh Quang and Do Quang Vinh are both sons of Mr. Do Quang Hien, also known as Mr. Hien.

Mr. Do Vinh Quang was born in 1995, the second son of Mr. Do Quang Hien. This businessman is currently Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of T&T Group and Chairman of Hanoi Football Club.

Although he does not hold a leadership position at SHB Bank, Mr. Quang owns more than 119 million shares of this bank, worth nearly 1,500 billion VND.
