Ministry of Public Security launches special political activities

(LĐ online) - On April 4, in Hanoi, the Central Public Security Party Committee held a launching ceremony for a special political activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Tradition Day (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025). General Luong Tam Quang - Politburo member, Secretary of the Central Public Security Party Committee, Minister of Public Security chaired the ceremony.

The launching ceremony was connected online to the Public Security bridge of units and localities nationwide. At the Lam Dong Provincial Police bridge, Colonel Truong Minh Duong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Director of the Provincial Police Department chaired; also attending were comrades in the Provincial Police Department Board of Directors and leaders of professional departments.

General Luong Tam Quang - Minister of Public Security, gave a speech at the ceremony.

The special political activity will be carried out from March 2025 to the end of March 2026 with the theme "People's Public Security cultivates ethics, practices manners, respects honor, solidarity, innovation, sets an example, discipline, and responsibility, forgets oneself for the country, and serves the people".

The purpose of the activity is to create strong, clear, and substantial changes in self-cultivation, training, preserving honor and self-respect, being exemplary in self-reflection, self-correction, self-criticism and criticism, self-identification, and fighting against signs of degradation in political ideology, morality, lifestyle, etc., contributing to building a truly clean, strong, disciplined, elite, and modern People's Public Security force.

The special political activity focuses on 5 contents:

Firstly, activities on the glorious tradition of the Party, affirming the role and mission of the Party's leadership towards the country, the Party's leadership is the decisive factor in all victories of the People's Public Security.

Second, activities on the tradition of the People's Public Security, revolutionary ethical standards of cadres and party members in the new period.

Third, organize political activities to thoroughly grasp and engrave the advice: "Forget yourself for the country, serve the people", "As long as the Party exists, we exist", "Honor is the most sacred and noble thing" and the motto of action "When the people need it, when the people are in trouble, there is the police".

Fourth, organize self-criticism and criticism, self-identify, prevent, and fight against degradation in political ideology, morality, and lifestyle.

Fifth, organize activities about the 6 teachings of Uncle Ho to the People's Public Security.

Speaking at the ceremony, General Luong Tam Quang requested that Party committees, leaders and commanders of agencies and units grasp the purpose, requirements, content, form and implementation measures to have appropriate plans.

Each officer and soldier must firmly grasp and be imbued with the tradition of the People's Public Security and the six teachings of Uncle Ho, overcome the fear of hardship and lack of responsibility in work and fight against individualism, be exemplary in implementing the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws; fight against and refute erroneous and hostile viewpoints, protect the prestige and honor of the Party and the honor of the People's Public Security .
