On the morning of December 10, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue and the Vietnamese delegation visited and offered incense at the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site and attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the project to expand the relic site in Udon Thani.
This is the last activity of the National Assembly Chairman during his official visit to the Kingdom of Thailand. Writing in the guestbook at the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site, the NA Chairman expressed his emotions along with the high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese National Assembly to offer incense to President Ho Chi Minh, the beloved leader of the Vietnamese people, a close friend of the Thai people. The NA Chairman expressed his appreciation for the precious sentiments of Thai expatriates, including those in Udon Thani province, for President Ho Chi Minh. Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony for the relic site expansion project, NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue emphasized that President Ho Chi Minh's revolutionary journey had passed through many places in the world, including Udon Thani, an important place where he worked in the early days under the alias "Thau Chin" - the familiar name that the Thai people gave him and which is now named after the road leading to the relic site.

The Chairman of the National Assembly expressed his delight that in recent times, the relic site has regularly welcomed many delegations of overseas Vietnamese as well as Thai friends and international visitors to visit and learn about the life and great career of President Ho Chi Minh. This has helped promote the role of a cultural and historical work of great significance in the spiritual life of the Vietnamese community in Thailand, a vivid symbol of the good friendship between the two countries, contributing to further deepening the cooperative relationship, exchange and mutual understanding between the people of the two countries. Chairman of the National Assembly Vuong Dinh Hue stated that the groundbreaking of the relic site expansion project is a vivid demonstration of the aspirations of overseas Vietnamese in Thailand in particular and around the world in general in building, preserving and developing works honoring President Ho Chi Minh. NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue highly appreciated the efforts and determination of the Management Board of the relic site, the Vietnamese Association of Udon Thani province as well as the Vietnamese community in Thailand in expanding the relic site, completing it soon, putting it into operation, and continuing to promote the meaningful role of the relic site in the coming time. NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue affirmed that this will be a place to preserve valuable information and documents about President Ho Chi Minh so that generations of overseas Vietnamese and international friends can learn about his life, career and commemorate his great contributions; a cultural, educational and community meeting space; a destination to attract local people and tourists to visit, contributing to promoting the historical traditions and cultural identity of the Vietnamese people. NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue also said that domestic agencies will coordinate with representative agencies in Thailand to fully support and guide people in maintaining, preserving and developing the relic site; believing that the people will manage, exploit and promote the special value of the relic site. At the ceremony, on behalf of the working delegation, the Chairman of the National Assembly presented the relic site with 50,000 USD to support the construction and expansion of the relic site.

National Assembly Chairman concludes working trip to Laos and Thailand

At noon on December 10, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue and the high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese National Assembly returned to Hanoi, concluding their trip to attend the Summit of the National Assembly of Cambodia - Laos - Vietnam, visit and work in Laos; and pay an official visit to the Kingdom of Thailand from December 4 to 10. With more than 60 activities, the working trip of the National Assembly Chairman and the delegation achieved the set goals and requirements, being a practical step in implementing the foreign policy of the 13th National Party Congress, raising the level of multilateral diplomacy and continuing to strengthen relations with neighboring countries in ASEAN, which are very important partners of Vietnam.
