(CLO) December 19 - The exhibition "Emotions from the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace" officially opened at the Xoai Street Relic Site, part of the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace.
The event was held to commemorate the 70th anniversary of Uncle Ho's return to live and work at the Presidential Palace, and to commemorate the 78th anniversary of his call for national resistance (December 19, 1946 - December 19, 2024).
In her opening speech, Ms. Le Thi Phuong, Director of the Ho Chi Minh President Relic Site, emphasized: “On December 19, 1954, President Ho Chi Minh returned from the Viet Bac resistance base to live and work at the Presidential Palace after the victory of the resistance war against French colonialism. This is the place where he spent the last 15 years of his life.”
Ms. Phuong shared that over the past 70 years, President Ho Chi Minh's legacy still exists in every corner of space, documents, and artifacts at the Relic Site. Simple stories but containing great lessons about Uncle Ho's ideology and morality have left a deep impression on the hearts of the people and international friends.
This exhibition is a selection of more than 10,400 lines of thoughts from compatriots at home, overseas Vietnamese, and international friends, including touching words of gratitude from heads of state, politicians, and tourists from all over the world. This is the first time these thoughts have been systematized and widely introduced to the public, as a vivid testament to Ho Chi Minh's timeless influence.
The exhibition "Emotions from the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace" consists of two main parts:
Part 1: Emotions of the Vietnamese people: Introducing the feelings from high-ranking leaders, people from 63 provinces and cities, overseas Vietnamese, and many social classes. Each line of the guestbook expresses the love and admiration for a great leader who lived for the nation and world peace.
Part 2: Emotions from international friends. Recording the respectful sentiments of heads of state, cultural figures, and international visitors from nearly 90 countries over the past 55 years. The lines of impressions exude admiration for the personality and noble ideology of Ho Chi Minh - a symbol of peace, freedom, and justice.
According to the Organizing Committee, each line of thoughts is a mark containing respect and sincere feelings. These are not only profound words of gratitude but also clear evidence of Ho Chi Minh's stature in the hearts of humanity.
The exhibition also features the emotions of activists, cultural figures, and international visitors, reflecting deep respect for the simple yet great life of Ho Chi Minh.
The exhibition "Emotions from the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace" is a journey to recreate the everlasting heritage, affirming the sustainable vitality of Ho Chi Minh's ideology in today's world.
