In 2024, Military Region 4 mobilized 5,000 officers and soldiers to participate in supporting the construction of the 500kV line 3 project, which was commended by the Prime Minister; Nghe An province was selected to pilot the implementation of the Project "Improving the quality and effectiveness of mass mobilization work of the armed forces of Military Region 4 in the period of 2023 - 2030 and the following years". The Military Region Command also mobilized 11 units to help people build new rural areas, eliminate hunger and reduce poverty, maintain stability in the area to build a national defense posture associated with the people's security posture; Support Nghe An province in foreign affairs with Laos to maintain stability in the border area.
In particular, thanks to the attention and direction of Military Region 4, in 2024, Nghe An province's armed forces were honored to be awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces.
