Vietcombank becomes the second largest shareholder when owning 4.51% of equity capital at Eximbank
Vietnam Export Import Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Eximbank - stock code EIB) has just announced the list of shareholders owning 1% or more of charter capital, updated as of October 10.
The notable point of this list is the appearance of the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank - stock code VCB), with holding 78.79 million shares, equivalent to 4.51% of Eximbank's equity.
Thus, after the major shareholder - Gelex Group Corporation owning 10% of the shares, Vietcombank becomes the second largest shareholder at Eximbank.
In addition, Eximbank also has shareholders holding more than 1% of capital, including: VIX Securities JSC holding 62.3 million shares, equivalent to 3.58% of charter capital; Ms. Le Thi Mai Loan holding 17.9 million shares, equivalent to 1.03% of capital and Ms. Luong Thi Cam Tu holding 19.5 million shares, equivalent to 1.12% of capital.
In the stock market, Eximbank's EIB shares have faced big waves in recent days. Specifically, after social networks appeared a document about the Petition of Eximbank's Supervisory Board regarding risks and lending to unqualified customers, Eximbank shares appeared to have sudden transactions with more than 57 million negotiated units and 42.67 million matched units.
However, just one day later (October 15), Eximbank confirmed that the document circulating on social networks was not from the Board of Supervisors and that the bank was still operating normally, stably and effectively.
