On June 5, information from the Thanh Hoa Provincial Border Guard Command said that, implementing the Peak Month of fighting drug crimes, the Border Guard force has successfully fought against project TH 124, catching a Laotian subject red-handed while illegally transporting a large quantity of drugs across the border.

Specifically, at 5:15 a.m. on June 5, 2024, in Keo Huon village (Nhi Son commune, Muong Lat border district), the Drug and Crime Prevention and Control Force, Thanh Hoa Provincial Border Guard caught Thao Cu Lo Xay Tua (born in 1991, Na Khao village, Vieng Xay district, Hua Phan province, Laos) in the act of illegally transporting drugs across the border. At the scene, the authorities seized 24,000 synthetic drug pills, 1 sharp knife, and 1 mobile phone.
During the arrest, the suspect used a knife to fight back fiercely, trying to escape across the border. However, with a spirit of intelligence, courage, and determination to fight and suppress crime, the investigation force controlled and arrested the suspect to ensure safety.
Thanh Hoa Provincial Border Guard is completing the dossier and processing it according to the law.
