Gas store manager arrested for embezzling 70 million VND

On the evening of March 29, Hai Chau District Police (Da Nang City) issued decisions to prosecute the case and prosecute a gas store manager for embezzling property and appropriating 70 million VND from a branch of the Gas World Joint Stock Company.

The Hai Chau District Police Department also issued an arrest warrant to temporarily detain Truong Song Chien (32 years old, residing in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City) for the crime of embezzlement of property, as prescribed in Article 353 of the Penal Code.

According to the investigation, Truong Song Chien works for Gas World Joint Stock Company (registered headquarters on Pham Nhu Xuong Street, Dien Ngoc Ward, Dien Ban Town, Quang Nam), with Mr. Nguyen Tien Dat as the legal representative.

Chien was assigned by Gas World Joint Stock Company to be the store manager of An Phu gas store on Doan Thi Diem Street (Hai Chau District, Da Nang City).

This is a branch of the World Gas Joint Stock Company. Since November 2023, taking advantage of his authority as store manager, Truong Song Chien has embezzled a total of more than 70 million VND from the company for personal use.

After the World Gas Joint Stock Company discovered the problem and requested a fix, Chien did not do it, so the company reported it to the police.
