The first days of the New Year of the Dragon have been quite favorable, so the number of people and tourists from all over the world coming to visit and admire the scenery of Huong Tich Pagoda has increased dramatically. Although the management of tourism services has been strengthened, there are still cases of cars traveling on the road reserved for electric cars to transport passengers.
Through research, it is known that the route dedicated to electric cars to Huong Tich Pagoda is about 4.5km long, with 31 electric cars operating regularly every day. The fact that cars travel on the electric car route has caused chaos, posing many potential risks to security, order and traffic safety.
"The electric car route at Huong Tich Pagoda tourist area passes through many poetic pine forests and winding mountain passes that obscure the view. The electric cars run slowly, but occasionally there are cars speeding by, honking loudly, making tourists feel insecure when experiencing tourism by electric car service," said Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha in Le Loi ward, Vinh city.
In reality, the electric cars at Huong Tich Pagoda only run at an average speed of 30-35km/h. However, most cars run very fast, some cars seem to ignore all regulations on no-entry signs, stopping and parking on the way to the pagoda.
"The road is only for electric vehicles, but many cars have mixed in, driving at high speeds, which is very dangerous. The mountain pass is steep, visibility is limited, and every time the electric vehicle avoids a car, it has to brake suddenly, causing tourists to jump, which is unsafe," said an electric vehicle driver.
Not only the electric car service has suffered from the inconvenience of tourists' cars operating chaotically on the road, but in recent days, the boat service at Nha Duong Lake in Huong Tich Pagoda Tourist Area has also posed many potential safety risks. According to regulations, tourists must wear life jackets when boarding the boat, but paradoxically, many tourists and even the boat drivers did not wear life jackets throughout the journey.
Nha Duong Lake is very deep, the distance from the boat dock to the foot of the mountain is about 2km. If both tourists and boatmen do not wear life jackets, there will be many potential safety risks, especially during peak periods when the number of tourists increases, and accidents are unpredictable.
"During the service business, we have regularly reminded boat drivers and tourists to wear life jackets. However, sometimes they still do not follow the regulations, the reason may be due to hot weather, some tourists have poor awareness and do not wear life jackets when cruising", said Mr. Le Cong Hong - Hong Thanh Cooperative.
Speaking to reporters, Head of the Huong Tich Pagoda Tourism Management Board Tran Thi Thu Ha said that since the first day of the fifth lunar month, Huong Tich Pagoda has welcomed more than 20,000 visitors. We have received feedback on the shortcomings in the management of the electric vehicle road and the issue of not wearing life jackets when cruising.
"In response to public opinion, the unit held a meeting with the security and order team and relevant parties to rectify and overcome the shortcomings. In particular, focusing on thoroughly understanding that if not wearing a life jacket, both the driver and tourists will not be allowed on the boat, and prohibiting cars from entering the electric vehicle lanes because it is very offensive and disrupts traffic safety and order," Ms. Tran Thi Thu Ha informed.
