On the morning of March 25, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City held a conference to review the enrollment work for the 2024-2025 school year.
According to the Department of Education and Training, primary school enrollment in Ho Chi Minh City has achieved positive results through the application of information technology, the implementation of a centralized online enrollment system and data integration, helping the enrollment process take place more smoothly and effectively.
Specifically, the system is integrated with the city's education database, significantly reducing the number of documents that parents have to submit. The processing time for applications is shortened to 10-20 minutes instead of having to travel many times as before, reducing 70%-80% of the time to process procedures. The simplified admission process allows parents to track the status of their applications online, limiting travel and waiting.
At the same time, the survey showed that 62.7% of parents were completely satisfied and 23.8% were somewhat satisfied with the school's admission guidance, while only 1.6% were dissatisfied. Notably, 51.9% of parents did not encounter any difficulties during the admission process, with the rate of evaluating the procedures as faster and more convenient reaching 45.4% at the beginning of primary school, 40.3% at the beginning of secondary school and 33.3% at the beginning of high school.
The Department of Education and Training said that in the 2025-2026 school year, primary school admissions will continue to be conducted through a centralized online admission process through a single portal (tuyensinhdaucap.hcm.edu.vn), integrating data with the industry management system, ensuring accuracy and synchronization, continuing to prioritize student allocation according to "current residence", creating conditions for studying near home. Allowing flexible registration according to 3 criteria: Residence, previous place of study, and parent's workplace. The improved admission process conducts one-time admissions, shortening the admission review time. Student allocation is flexible, not rigid according to administrative boundaries.
