Fireworks and light art performance on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital

Accordingly, the series of commemorative activities includes more than 50 activities, focusing on September and October. Including many contents: Organizing a high-point emulation campaign to achieve achievements to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital; propaganda activities, promoting the image of the Capital and the country; gratitude activities, ensuring social security; seminars, exhibitions and conferences; implementing renovation, embellishment and labeling of works; cultural and artistic activities and other activities; National celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital, awarding the Ho Chi Minh Medal, praising typical advanced "Good people, good deeds" and honoring "Outstanding Capital Citizens" in 2024. In particular, there is a fireworks display and light art performance taking place on the evening of October 10.

The city organizes many propaganda activities to promote the image of the capital and the country such as: Visual propaganda, decoration, lighting; organizing a contest to learn about the theme "70 years of the Liberation of the Capital"; "Ambassador - Reading Culture" contest; Film week to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital; launching the competition to compose literary and artistic works, songs about Hanoi and the Liberation of the Capital; organizing the Red River Delta Art Photography Festival; "Peace Culture Festival"; Hanoi - International Marathon 2024; Hanoi Open Dragon Boat Racing Competition; 2nd Hanoi Autumn Festival 2024; Hanoi Tourism Ao Dai Festival 2024...

Regarding gratitude, Hanoi will organize a delegation of city leaders to visit President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, commemorate heroic martyrs at Bac Son Martyrs Monument, Mai Dich Martyrs Cemetery - Hanoi; offer flowers at the Death Monument for the Fatherland, Hanoi - Winter 1946 Relief Monument. The city will organize a delegation to visit, present gifts, and offer incense at the Martyrs Cemetery and historical revolutionary sites of Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Ha Giang and Quang Tri provinces; visit and present gifts to families with meritorious services who directly participated in the resistance war against the French and liberated the capital. At the same time, Hanoi will meet with soldiers, veterans, youth volunteers who participated in the resistance war against the French, and typical families with meritorious services; support the construction and repair of houses for poor and near-poor households, and support for people with meritorious services to the revolution...

The commemorative activities aim to widely propagate and educate cadres, party members, people of all walks of life, and armed forces of the capital about the great significance of the Capital Liberation Day, affirming the wise leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, President Ho Chi Minh, the spirit of great national unity, the will, determination and strength of the Vietnam People's Army as the decisive factor in all victories of the Vietnamese revolution. The activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day aim to honor and express gratitude for the dedication and contributions of the people and those who have contributed to the revolution; care for the material and spiritual life of the people of the capital, especially in remote areas and ethnic minority areas; and promote the image of the capital to localities in the country and international friends.

The organization of commemorative activities is combined with diverse and rich forms, ensuring solemnity, economy, efficiency, practicality, focus, key points, suitable to the practical requirements of the city and the base; associated with activities to celebrate major holidays of the capital and the country. Thereby, creating a vibrant emulation movement, encouraging cadres, party members, people of all walks of life and armed forces of the capital to be determined to successfully implement the Resolutions of the Central and the city on the development of the capital, completing tasks and plans for 2024 and the following years.
