This afternoon, February 20, the Provincial Steering Committee for Innovation and Collective Economic Development held a meeting to assess the collective economic development situation in 2023 and deploy key tasks in 2024. In 2023, the collective economy and cooperatives (CEE) movement has seen many positive developments. Many new models, high-tech applications, and effective joint ventures have brought many benefits to members. In addition, support resources for cooperatives have also received attention and support from all levels and sectors. The Provincial Cooperative Union continues to perform well its tasks as the standing agency of the Provincial Steering Committee for Innovation and Development of CEE.
Accordingly, it has coordinated with 9 branches of the Cooperative Union in districts, towns and cities to organize over 30 campaigns to disseminate the law to members and employees in cooperatives with over 800 participants. It has provided consulting and guidance to over 30 cooperatives on new establishment, resolving difficulties in accessing tax policies, land, trade promotion, etc.
In particular, in 2023, the Provincial Cooperative Support Fund consulted, guided, and disbursed loans to 27 projects with a total disbursement amount of VND 9.45 billion; outstanding loans of VND 14.5 billion.
To date, the province has 1,981 cooperatives, 341 cooperatives and 2 cooperative unions with 82,256 members. The average revenue in 2023 is nearly 407 million VND/cooperative, and for cooperatives it is 1.3 billion VND/cooperative.
During the year, 16 new cooperatives were established, 13 cooperatives were temporarily suspended, 2 cooperatives were dissolved, and 1 cooperative was converted to another type. Many new cooperatives were established in mountainous areas, especially in Dakrong district.
Some new cooperative models, cooperative groups, and farms associated with safe and high-value agricultural value chains, and models of linking production and consumption of agricultural products between enterprises and farmers through cooperatives have been formed.
Discussing at the meeting, many opinions focused on assessing, analyzing and pointing out the shortcomings, limitations, difficulties and obstacles in the process of innovation, development and improving the efficiency of the economic zone in the area; proposing plans to consolidate, consolidate and merge cooperatives; plans to train and foster young human resources to manage cooperatives with quality; methods to support cooperatives in quality certification, brand building, trademarks...
At the same time, set out key tasks in 2024 to focus on implementation and guide the building of the KTTT movement in the province to increasingly develop and operate effectively.
Speaking at the meeting, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong requested all levels and sectors, especially members of the Steering Committee for Innovation and Development of the Economic Community at the provincial and district levels, to participate more resolutely and synchronously, including regularly monitoring, closely monitoring, and grasping newly arising issues, difficulties, and obstacles of cooperatives and cooperative groups in the area to promptly advise the Provincial People's Committee on solutions to support and create conditions for the development of the economic community.
The Provincial Cooperative Alliance continues to advise the Provincial Steering Committee for Innovation and Development of the Cooperative Economy on the action plan, guidelines and policies, especially the implementation of the Law on Cooperatives in 2023; organize forums and policy dialogues for each industry group to promptly grasp the situation, advise and guide to remove difficulties for the establishments.
Promote propaganda and dissemination of the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State related to the market economy; promptly commend advanced models in the field of market economy for learning and replication.
Departments, branches, localities and members of the Steering Committee, based on their functions and tasks, promote responsibility and operational efficiency to support and strengthen the province's economic movement to develop and grow stronger in the period of international economic integration.
