Opening up new prospects in cooperation

On the afternoon of August 29, Mr. Tran Hong Minh, Secretary of Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee, received a working delegation from Baise City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China) led by Mr. Hoang Nhu Sinh, Secretary of Baise City Party Committee.

At the meeting, Mr. Tran Hong Minh - Secretary of Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee (Vietnam) stated that in recent years, based on the orientation of the two countries' senior leaders, Cao Bang province (Vietnam) and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China) have effectively implemented important common perceptions reached between the leaders of the two Parties and two States; opening up many new prospects in friendly and substantive cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, investment, transport connection, cultural exchange, and border management, achieving many new results.

"Cao Bang province will actively coordinate with Bach Sac city to effectively implement cooperation contents, contributing to building the border area between the two sides to be increasingly rich and prosperous. In particular, the two sides will strengthen friendly exchanges and cooperation; cooperate in the fields of tourism, culture, and society; research, cooperate, and build a red tourism route from Pac Bo, Cao Bang (Vietnam) - Bach Sac, Guangxi (China); cooperate on the tourism route through Landmark 589 Thieng Qua (Bao Lac district, Cao Bang, Vietnam) - Khe Ho Nhay (Na Po district, Bach Sac, China)...", the Secretary of the Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee emphasized.

Along with that, it is necessary to strengthen traffic connections, build border gate infrastructure, open and upgrade border gates. Cao Bang province proposed that Bach Sac city continue to pay attention to investing in building border gate infrastructure, promote the opening of the bilateral border gate pair Po Peo (Vietnam) - Nhac Vu (China) and at the same time promote normal customs clearance on weekends and holidays at Tra Linh (Vietnam) - Long Bang (China) border gate, including the Na Doong (Vietnam) - Na Ray (China) customs clearance.

In the agricultural sector, Cao Bang province hopes to have opportunities to cooperate in receiving technology transfer, applying smart technology and high technology in growing fruit trees; promoting investment promotion in agricultural products with potential and value...

Cao Bang Province proposed that the two sides study the pilot construction of the Tra Linh (Vietnam) - Long Bang (China) smart border gate; coordinate to complete procedures to submit to competent authorities for approval of the project to serve the opening of a dedicated road for transporting goods at the Soc Giang (Vietnam) - Binh Mang (China) bilateral border gate. In border management cooperation, the two sides continue to propagate and effectively implement three legal documents on the Vietnam - China land border and related agreements.

Promote common perceptions, enhance cooperation in many fields

At the meeting, Mr. Hoang Nhu Sinh - Secretary of the Baise City Party Committee, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China) hoped that the two sides would further increase meetings between leaders at all levels of the two localities to promote common perceptions of senior leaders of the two countries and two provinces.

Regarding tourism cooperation between the two localities, Secretary of the Bach Sac City Party Committee emphasized that the opening of the Tra Linh (Vietnam) - Long Bang (China) border gate pair has helped increase the number of tourists passing through the border gate pair. Mr. Hoang Nhu Sinh hopes to connect the Tinh Tay (China) - Cao Bang City (Vietnam) tourist route; promote adventure tourism.

According to Secretary of the Bach Sac City Party Committee, cross-border tourism is being promoted in Cao Bang. If the locality does this well, Cao Bang will annually welcome a large number of Chinese tourists to visit the scenic spots of Cao Bang province.

According to Mr. Hoang Nhu Sinh, the two sides need to further promote agricultural cooperation, especially fruits and vegetables. In particular, Cao Bang can connect goods with a specialized train carrying agricultural products from Baise city to Beijing, Central Europe, etc.

Regarding the transport sector, Secretary of the City Party Committee Bach Sac was pleased and commented that when the Tra Linh - Dong Dang expressway is started, it will be a way for both sides to further strengthen customs clearance of goods and investment in border gate infrastructure. In particular, Mr. Hoang Nhu Sinh hoped that both sides would join hands to build cross-border industry cooperation, including the mining and processing of bauxite and aluminum.
