Bac Ninh starts two important projects worth trillions of VND

At the conference to announce the Planning and Investment Promotion of Bac Ninh province in 2024, the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province officially started the investment project to build the Golden Canal bridge and the roads at both ends of the bridge, connecting the two provinces of Bac Ninh - Hai Duong and the Social Housing project under the investment project to build technical infrastructure of the new urban area of ​​Que Vo.

The groundbreaking ceremony was changed from in-person to online. The entire estimated budget for the groundbreaking ceremony arranged by the investor and enterprise to directly start the construction at the location of the two above projects was used to support the people affected by storm No. 3.

The investment project to build the Golden Canal Bridge and the approach roads at both ends of the bridge, connecting the two provinces of Bac Ninh and Hai Duong, has a route length of about 13.4km, invested by the Bac Ninh Traffic Construction Project Management Board (Department of Transport).

With a total cost of over VND2,182 billion, the construction project includes the 740m long, 23.5m wide Kenh Vang bridge, designed as a permanent bridge with a prestressed reinforced concrete structure; the approach roads at both ends of the bridge are 12.6km long, with a 15m wide road surface. The construction location is in Gia Binh and Luong Tai districts (Bac Ninh province) and Nam Sach district (Hai Duong province).

The Golden Canal Bridge not only helps to improve the transport infrastructure but also creates momentum for economic development, attracts investment and improves the lives of people in the two provinces. It is expected that the Golden Canal Bridge will be completed in 2025.

The Social Housing Project belongs to the technical infrastructure construction investment project of Que Vo new urban area, built on the land of the technical infrastructure construction investment project of Que Vo new urban area (Phuong Mao ward and Phuong Lieu ward, Que Vo town).

This project has a total investment of more than 1,323 billion VND, including 4 social housing buildings, each with 12 floors, with a total construction area of ​​more than 100,000m2 of floor space, invested by Tung Bach Company Limited.

Expected to be completed and put into use by the end of 2025, the project will provide 914 apartments, meeting the housing needs of about 3,000 workers in need of social housing. The project contributes to solving the housing problem for low-income workers, promoting local socio-economic development.
