Which transportation projects will be completed by April 30?

The above content was presented at the March basic construction meeting of the Ministry of Construction.

According to Giao thong newspaper, at the meeting, Minister of Construction Tran Hong Minh directed that by April 30, investors focus on completing the goal of opening the main routes of 4 North-South expressway component projects, including: Bai Vot - Ham Nghi, Ham Nghi - Vung Ang; Bung - Van Ninh; Van Phong - Nha Trang. At the same time, put into operation 20km of Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway (from National Highway 1A to Nguyen Van Tao intersection) and close Rach Mieu 2 bridge.

Recently, the Thang Long Project Management Board announced that the two rest stops of phase 1 on the Mai Son - National Highway 45 and Phan Thiet - Dau Giay highways have been put into operation with essential works to serve people since the recent Lunar New Year. Therefore, during the April 30 holiday, people can stop at the two above-mentioned stations.

It is known that the Mai Son - National Highway 45 rest stop is located on both sides at Km 329+700, Dong Hoa commune, Dong Son district (Thanh Hoa), the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay rest stop is located at Km 47+500.

Currently, the temporary rest stop on the right side of the route (Phan Thiet - Dong Nai direction) is still operating, but the temporary rest stop on the left side of the route (Dong Nai - Binh Thuan direction) is temporarily closed to receive passengers so that the investor can continue to complete the construction of technical infrastructure items.

Mr. Bui Quang Thai - Director of Vietnam Road Administration - said that it is expected to hand over the entire construction site of rest stops on the Nghi Son - Dien Chau and Phan Thiet - Dau Giay routes before April 15. At the same time, the construction site of rest stops on the three routes Nha Trang - Cam Lam, Cam Lam - Vinh Hao, Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet are striving to be handed over this April.

Currently, there are 3 stations that have handed over the entire land on the routes: Mai Son - QL45; Dien Chau - Bai Vot, Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet station Km205. Meanwhile, there are 2 new stations that have handed over part of the land on the routes: Nghi Son - Dien Chau (70% of the area has been handed over), Phan Thiet - Dau Giay (52% of the area has been handed over). In addition, there are 3 stations that have not handed over the land on the routes: Nha Trang - Cam Lam, Cam Lam - Vinh Hao, Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet.

For other expressway projects such as Dong Dang - Tra Linh, Huu Nghi - Chi Lang, the main route is being strived to be opened to traffic by the end of this year. In particular, the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway project must complete procedures and start construction by the end of this year.

Regarding the Long Thanh International Airport project (Dong Nai), Minister Tran Hong Minh requested that the Deputy Minister in charge request the investor to strictly control the progress and direct the contractor to further speed up the main items.
